The principle objective of The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund Senior Research Fellowship programme is to facilitate the careers of truly outstanding biomedical scientists who have already, or are likely to achieve international status as researchers in leukaemia or a closely related field. It is likely that the appointees will already have considerable experience in basic research. The appointment will normally be made at the level of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer on either clinical or non-clinical payscales as appropriate. The fellowship will cover the cost of the fellow’s salary for 5 years and may support up to 2 assistants, together with costs of laboratory consumables, but will not contribute to departmental overheads.
