TAN AH TAH –SAWL Scholarships for the Physically Disabled, Singapore

This Scholarship was founded in memory of The Honourable the late Mr Justice Tan Ah Tah and shall be called “TAN AH TAH – SAWL SCHOLARSHIP.”
1. The Scholarship shall be awarded by the Trustees under the Trust Deed dated the 2nd day of December 1987 and supplemented by the Supplemental Trust Deed dated 26 August 2008 (hereinafter called “the Trustees”) in accordance with the terms set out in the said Trust Deed/Supplemental Trust Deed.
2. The Trustees shall be the Trustees of the Scholarship and its funds.
3. The Scholarship may be granted to the following applicants requiring financial assistance:
a) any candidate offering any level of secondary education.
b) any candidate offering pre-university level education in any pre-university schools or junior colleges.
c) any candidate pursuing education or training in any polytechnics, vocational institutes or other educational or training establishments of a similar nature in Singapore as shall be approved by the Trustees.
d) any candidate pursuing tertiary education in local universities in Singapore that are approved by the Ministry of Education or any equivalent relevant authorities.

SMA3 Graduate Fellowship, Singaporel: Strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre

The Singapore Ministry of Education has established a four-year fellowship scheme for new doctoral students at NTU or NUS who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre).
The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. The Fellowship will provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre and provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member. The student may spend up to six months doing research at MIT.

2011 Korea Government Undergraduate Scholarship Program for International Students

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is recruiting ’2011 Government Scholarship Students’

Qualification : Applicants must meet all the following conditions:
a. Applicants must be 2nd or 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students.
b. GPA for the last semester must be over 80 out of 100.
c. Applicants must pass a minimum fourth level in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).

– Students who have already received scholarships from the Government of Korea or other institutions are NOT  allowed to apply. (ex. Students who have received scholarships from foreign governments or Il-Woo  Foundation or 4 year scholarships are NOT allowed to apply)

Quota : Total 200 international students from all universities in Korea

Scholarship
a. Amount : Annually KRW 6 million per student (KRW 0.5 million X 12 months)
b. Winners of the Scholarship will receive the money over an year.
