SEESOX/Alpha Bank Fellowship on the Political Economy of South East Europe, UK: Political economy and European integration

The Alpha Bank Visiting Fellowship on the Political Economy of South East Europe provides financial assistance, donated by Alpha Bank, Greece, for academics with an expertise on thepolitical economy and European integration of the post-communist countries of the region.The applicants should hold a PhD in the related fields of economics, political science,political economy, international relations, and should have research experience indevelopments in the Balkan region. The purpose of the fellowship is to enable the Visiting.Fellow to undertake academic research on the political economy of South East Europe at SEESOX, St Antony’s College, Oxford.

AWARD Fellowships for African Women in Agricultural Research and Development 2011 in Africa

AWARD is a professional development program that strengthens the research and leadership skills of African women in agricultural science, empowering them to contribute more effectively to poverty alleviation and food security in sub-Saharan Africa. AWARD is a project of the Gender & Diversity Program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
The AWARD Fellowship is a two-year program that offers a series of career-development resources that:
•establish a mentorship for each fellow with a senior scientist
•build science skills
•develop leadership capacity
AWARD’s training courses, held over a two-year period, take place in various locations in Africa.

Eligibility
Women agricultural scientists who are nationals of Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zambia, who have completed a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in the disciplines listed below, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be available in Africa throughout the fellowship period. There is no age restriction.
Applications received after the deadline and incomplete applications will NOT be accepted. Selected fellows will be notified in mid-July, 2011.

International Achievement Scholarships, UK

International Achievement Scholarships programme is open to students from any non-EU country applying to study at Sheffield Hallam University who will be enrolling in 2010/11 (January intake) or 2011/12 academic year. All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses are taking part in the programme.
The scholarships will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement in the personal statement on their scholarship application form. Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at a Scholarships ceremony following enrolment on their course. This scholarship is not a reduction in fees.

Scholarship Application Deadline: 30 June 2011 for courses starting in September 2011
30 November 2011 for courses starting in January 2012
