Erasmus Mundus ‘MOVE-AGE’ Joint Doctorate Program

he Joint Doctorate Program ‘MOVE-AGE’, is funded by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus Mundus program. In the MOVE-AGE program approximately 50 PhD students will receive a fellowship to study how mobility can be maintained during ageing. Loss of mobility with ageing is a vast and rapidly growing social and economic problem worldwide. Within MOVE-AGE we will perform translational research to generate knowledge and to train a new generation of scientists to address this problem.
Each fellow will be supervised by top-level researchers from at least two of the three participating institutes: MOVE of VU University Amsterdam, the Institute for Biomedical Research into Human Movement and Health of Manchester Metropolitan University and the Doctoral School Exercise and Physical Activity in Health and Disease of the K.U. Leuven.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program, Canada

The Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Master’s Scholarships program seeks to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students in the social sciences and humanities who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.

Sheffield Hallam University International Achievement

Our International Achievement Scholarships programme is open to students from any non-EU country applying to study at Sheffield Hallam University who will be enrolling in 2010/11 (January intake) or 2011/12 academic year. All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses are taking part in the programme.

The scholarships will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement in the personal statement on their scholarship application form. Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at a Scholarships ceremony following enrolment on their course. This scholarship is not a reduction in fees.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for an undergraduate scholarship you must:

* be classed as an international student for fees purposes
* have a high standard of secondary education
* have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent*
* have given a firm or insurance acceptance of your offer on your chosen course
* be enrolling on a course with Sheffield Hallam starting in January 2011 or 2011/12 academic year
* be able to evidence achievement in your personal statement

Scholarship Application Deadline:
30 June 2011 for courses starting in September 2011
30 November 2011 for courses starting in January 2012
