University of Temple, Fellowship in Smart Materials in USA ,2010: Mechanical Engineers

Multiple one-year Postdoctoral appointments in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Temple University, are available immediately with possibility for annual renewal up to three years.Salary and benefits are competitive, with compensation commensurate with experience.This position will assist an interdisciplinary research team working on the design of smart materials for biomedical applications.  The applicant is expected to have a strong and documented background in several of the following areas: smart materials (preferably nitinol), finite element, mechanical design, and controls. A Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Bio/Materials engineering is required.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship makes it possible for the nation’s top community college students to complete their bachelor’s degrees by transferring to a four-year college or university. The Foundation provides up to $30,000 per year to each of approximately 50 deserving students selected annually, making it the largest private scholarship for two-year and community college transfer students in the country.

Graduate Assistantships and Tuition Scholarships 2011, USA

International graduate students are eligible for graduate assistantships (GA) and tuition scholarships (TS). GA and TS positions require students to work in exchange for receiving tuition or maintenance fee waivers. Students receiving a GA receive monthly stipends in addition to the tuition waiver. For international students, GA and TS positions include a waiver of out-of-state tuition (GA positions also include a monthly stipend). In order to be eligible for a GA, international students must be admitted unconditionally as graduate students. To be eligible for a TS, students must be in their first period of enrollment as graduate students.
