Post Doctoral Programme, University of Lawrence,Wisconsin,USA: Sociocultural Anthropology

Lawrence University, a selective, residential, liberal arts college and conservatory of 1425 students, seeks applicants for a two-year postdoctoral fellow position in sociocultural anthropology beginning September 2011. The successful candidate will offer 4 courses spread over three terms each year, including introductory Cultural Anthropology, Women and Men in Cross-Cultural Perspective, Research Questions (a capstone literature review course), and one course in the candidate’s area of interest. We especially welcome candidates who could teach Language and Culture, but we will consider sociocultural anthropologists with other teaching competencies as well. Postdoctoral Fellowship, Pittsburgh, PA, USA: Breast Cancer Research

Postdoctoral fellowship positions are available immediately in the laboratories of Dr. Adrian V. Lee or Dr. Steffi Oesterreich in the newly created Women’s Cancer Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, and Magee Women’s Research Institute.
Recently used techniques include transcriptomics, reverse phase proteomic arrays, ChIP-seq, massively parallel sequencing, genome-wide methylation arrays, confocal microscopy
The appropriate candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, and published-expertise in molecular and cellular biology. The position is available immediately for a one-year initial period, extendable for an additional two to three years with satisfactory accomplishment. Research Position, National Institute of Immunology, India: Life Sciences

Applications are invited from candidates possessing the following qualifications for filling up 1 position of Scientist in DBT sponsored project titled, Primate Resource and Research Centre and facility on small animals – an incubator for translational research, initially for a period of one year, on consolidated emoluments of Rs 42,000/- p.m.

Qualifications: PhD, in any branch of Life Sciences, with 1 year post doctoral experience having flair for conducting intricate animal experiments.
The selected candidate has to carry out intricate animal experiments and discharge any other duties assigned from time to time.
Emoluments: The assignment will be for a period of one year on monthly consolidated contract emoluments of 42,000/- p.m.

1. The post exists in a sponsored project and is purely temporary. There shall be no claim for regular appointment against any core post of the Institute.

2. The post is initially for a period of one year. The other terms and conditions governing the appointment shall be as per the Rules and Regulations of the Institute applicable to project employment.

3. No hostel housing facility will be provided.

4. Applicants may clearly indicate the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
