Master Mundus German and French Philosophy in the European Context

The Master Mundus Program “German and French Philosophy in the European Context” (EuroPhilosophie) offers to the best students from around the world a specialized advanced course of study for two years in the fields of German and French philosophy and their interaction within the European cultural context.
Each year the Master EuroPhilosophie selects:

– Approximately ten students ?who are not European Union citizens and who have not spent more than 12 months in the EU are offered an annual scholarship of 20, 800 euro (Erasmus Mundus A) to study at three universities in the EuroPhilosophie Consortium. (Registration fees for students receiving a scholarship amounts to 2400 euro per semester).

– Approximately 8 citizens of EU or non-citizens of the European Union who have spent more than 12 months in European Union are offered an annual scholarship of 9000 euro (Erasmus Mundus B) to study at three universities in the EuroPhilosophie Consortium. (Registration fees for students receiving a scholarship amounts to 750 euro per semester).

The program also admits non-European and European students without awarding a scholarship from the Erasmus Mundus European Commission. The cost of participation for non-European students is the same as those from group A, and European students is the same as those from group B.

The Erasmus Mundus Master Course (EMCC) in Ecohydrology

The  Erasmus Mundus Master Course (EMCC) in Ecohydrology  is a unique international master course focusing on a new vision for aquatic ecosystems restoration and long-term sustainability. The Ecohydrology approach was developed and have been refined within the International Hydrologic Program (IHP) of UNESCO. Actually its importance is recognized by the 193 counties composing the UNESCO General Conference, being “Ecohydrology for Sustainability” one of the five major themes of the Phase VII of the IHP-UNESCO.

The Ecohydrology EMMSc is supported by a consortium build on highly experienced Higher Education Institution (HEI) in this field, as the UNESCO Institute for Water Education (Delft, Netherlands), the University of Lodz (Poland), the University of Algarve (Portugal), the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel (Germany) and the National University of La Plata (Argentina). Several institutions, as Research and UNESCO Centers, from Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia are associating to this course, contributing with advanced study courses and promoting students exchange.

Josephine De Kármán Fellowship 2011: Technology

The Josephine De Kármán Fellowship Trust was established in 1954 by the late Dr. Theodore von Kármán, world renowned aeronautics expert and teacher and first director of the Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology, in memory of his sister, Josephine, who passed away in 1951.  The purpose of this Fellowship program is to recognize and assist students whose scholastic achievements reflect Professor von Kármán’s high standards.
