The National Union’s Scholarship Program 2011-2012, Canada

The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is a family of eleven component union. Taken together we are one of the largest unions in Canada. Most of our 340,000 members work to deliver public services of every kind to the citizens of their home provinces. We also have a large and growing number of members who work for private businesses.
The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) offers four scholarships that reflect its pursuit of equal opportunity for all workers. They are open to the children of the National Union’s 340,000 members who are starting a post-secondary education.
The Four scholarships of $1,500 given each year to children of NUPGE members. The name of the scholarships are as follow:
1-The Tommy Douglas Scholarship
2-The Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship
3-The Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians
4-The Scholarship for Visible Minorities

Wetherell Scholarship for Undergraduate Studies in University of Central Florida, USA

Must demonstrate academic achievement and hold a GPA of at least 3.0.
• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in a Regional Campusmajor @ the UCF Daytona campus for a minimum of (9) credit hours
per semester.
• Must be a graduate of a Volusia or Flagler County high school and matriculatedthrough Daytona State College.
• The scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation, provided the recipient is making satisfactory
progress toward

Werner Siemens-Foundation Fellowship in Life Sciences, Switzerland

Excellent students from all over the world are encouraged to apply for a prestigious fellowship Werner Siemens-Foundation. The aim of the fellowships which are sponsored by the Werner Siemens-Foundation (http://www.wernersiemens-stiftung.ch/) is to select and promote highly talented graduate students in the area of Life Sciences. The fellowships offer direct access to the PhD program, generous financial support, a rotation-based selection of the research group, and support for the attendance of scientific meetings and courses during the PhD.
