Scientific Prizes Callataÿ and Wouters 2011, Belgium: monetary economics, financial mathematics, financial institutions and markets, economic growth and technological change, mathematical and quantitative economic methods,

Since 2011, the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) and le Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) award the annual Callataÿ & Wouters Award in recognition of an original and/or profound contribution to knowledge in monetary economics, financial mathematics, financial institutions and markets, economic growth and technological change, mathematical and quantitative economic methods, under the condition that research in the above-mentioned field is/will be executed on a macro-economical scale.Young promising researchers from a Flemish university or the Royal Military School.
A scientific prize of 10.000 EUR for an original contribution to knowledge about
The prize rewards: a)a completed work concerning the theme described above. In this case, the laureate receives 50% of the Award and 50% is donated to its research.
OR
b) a research project, that according to the jury, offers very promising future prognoses in this area. Only in this case, a research project which was not awarded can be resubmitted the following year. The project will then be evaluated based on its progress.

2011 Commonwealth Scholarship at University of Nairobi, Kenya

Any one or two-year Master’s degree programme at University of Nairobi. Full tuition fees, an agreed stipend and research costs, one return airfare, and a one-off relocation allowance of USD 500.Applications should be made using the CSFP application form, which can be downloaded, completed electronically and printed.Three copies of the form, three copies of all supporting documentation requested, and evidence that the applicant holds British citizenship.

2011 Image Magazine Scholarship for Women in MBA, UK

MAGE Magazine, in association with the UCD Smurfit School is offering a €15,000 scholarship to one female candidate wishing to enter either the full- or part-time MBA programme starting in September 2010. The school offers a choice of three Executive part-time MBA programmes and a one-year Full-time MBA programme. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees and can only be used towards the MBA programme at UCD Smurfit School; it will be awarded to the candidate who best meets the selection criteria and standard MBA programme entry requirements as outlined in the terms and conditions.  Selection will be based on submission of two short essays as follows:
1. Tell us (in 500 words or less) how you have demonstrated entrepreneurship and leadership in your career
2. Tell us (in 200 words or less) why you feel you deserve this scholarship
A panel of judges will evaluate essay submissions and entrants will then be invited to complete a full MBA application if they have not already done so.
Eligibility: This promotional competition, run in conjunction exclusively with Image magazine Ireland, is only open to female residents of Ireland. Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the Smurfit MBA programme.
