Postdoctoral / Research Fellow Positions in Cognitive Network and Network Coding, Singapore

Two post-doc positions in the area of cogntive radio network and network coding are available immediately at Singapore University of Technology and Design. Self-motivated candidates with a PhD degree (or having submitted his/her thesis) in electrical and electronic engineering, computer science / engineering or relevant discipline, and a good track record of publications are encouraged to apply.

2011 George P.Shultz Fellowship in Canadian Studies, Stanford University, USA

The Canadian Studies Committee is pleased to announce the availability of funds, in honor of George P. Shultz, to support research-related activities of graduate and undergraduate students specializing in Canadian Studies. The program is intended to fill in the gaps between the availability of university and external funding for student research of Canada and the Canada-U.S. relationship in all facets, at all educational levels, and in all disciplines.Some topics that can be considered highly relevant to the Canada-U.S. relations include smart and secure borders; North American economic competitiveness; regulatory cooperation; Canada-U.S. trade and investment partnership; energy security and sustainability; environmental sustainability; emergency planning and management; Canada-U.S. security and defense cooperation; global health policy; and changing demographics in North America. The program also encourages projects that include collaboration with researchers at Canadian institutions.

Awards will be made on a competitive basis primarily to students who are in one of the following categories:
* preparing dissertation or thesis proposals;
* undertaking field research and requiring supplemental assistance;
* writing up the results of research work.
Research-related expenses that can be funded include tuition, travel, and/or reasonable living expenses. No funds are available to cover travel or maintenance costs for dependents and spouses.

MSRA Postdoctoral Fellowship, Australia: Biomedical, clinical or population health.

The MSRA Postdoctoral fellowship is open to those candidates who have achieved their PhD within the last twelve years. MSRA may also consider applications from students in the final year of their PhD studies. The duration of the Postdoctoral fellowship is typically three years. Typical Grant-in-Aid amount may be $70-80,000 per year. In order to increase your chances of funding please also consider applying for a NHMRC Early Career or Career Development award.
Eligibility: Applicants must have been awarded their PhD within the last 12 years (consideration will also be given to final year PhD students).
