2011 Students Exchange Programme at KTH University, Sweden

The majority of exchange students come from Europe, with Germany and France as the most frequent countries of origin. However, KTH also welcomes exchange students from North and Latin America, Asia and Australia every year. In order to be accepted at KTH as an exchange student, the applicant must be enrolled at a partner university, i.e. one with which KTH has an exchange agreement.

Exchange students are nominated by their home university but the final decision of acceptance is made by KTH and is based on the individual assessment of each application. A minimum requirement is that exchange students applying to KTH have completed at least two years of the educational programme at their home university, with grades above average.Contact the International Office or equivalent at your home university for more information regarding exchange opportunities. It is the responsibility of the exchange students to ensure their eligibility for participation in an exchange programme.

2011 RADMA Doctoral Studies Funding Programme, UK: Management of Scientific and Technological activity, Research development, Product design and innovation , Strategy formulation and human resources ,Management of technology and policy

RADMA is accepting proposals under its Doctoral Studies Programme. The award provides up to three years funding to talented prospective or mid-study PhD students, offering an opportunity to concentrate on the studentship for the period of the award. The award will cover costs related to fees and specified living expenses up to a maximum of £17,500 per academic year (pro-rata for part time students). To be eligible for funding candidates must be accepted for PhD study at a UK university.

2011 CSC Distance Learning Scholarships, UK

The following UK institutions are currently recruiting candidates who wish to be considered for CSC scholarships to study by distance learning for one of the degree programmes listed below.  Prospective candidates must be citizens of, and live and work in, a developing Commonwealth country.  Full details of these courses must be obtained from the institution itself. In June 2011, the Commission will be inviting all UK higher education institutions to submit an Expression of Interest in receiving Commonewealth Distance Learning Scholarships on behalf of any distance learning courses offered either directly, or in partnership with an overseas institution. The Scholarships cover the overseas tuition fees at the Masters degree level and are open to candidates who are citizens of a developing Commonwealth country.
The Commission expects all Expressions to be submitted with the approval of an institution and therefore they should be submitted through an appointed person in the first instance.   If the Academic Department of the University is not registered with the EAS, it is necessary to click on Apply to be a Nominating Agency; otherwise, the appointed person can start completing the form by clicking on Nomination, Advice and Admin Portal . Decisions on which proposals will be supported will be taken in January 2012; thereafter institutions will conduct a recruitment exercise with the selection of candidates taking place in July 2012 for September/October 2012 take up. All Expressions of Interest should be completed with reference to the 2011 Distance Learning Scholarships prospectus that will be available here in due course
