Penn Program on Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Penn Program on Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism (DCC) invites applications for a one-year DCC Postdoctoral Fellow in any discipline whose research is pertinent to the Program’s 2010-2011 theme, “Corporations and Citizenship.”  The Program welcomes both empirical and normative scholarship, focused globally or on particular nations, regions, or communities, that explores the various ways that modern corporations are acting and should act as legal and social citizens, as well as the implications of modern corporate statuses and conduct for democracy and constitutional governance at local, national, and international levels.

PhD Studentship Positions in University of Worcester, UK: Psychology

This research studentship is fully funded by the University of Worcester (UK). During your time at Worcester, you will be provided with your own computer and an office space, which you will normally share with other full-time research students. Your office will normally be located within the Psychological Sciences academic unit, which consists of 12 lecturers and a number of postgraduate students and research assistants.

The research studentship is also linked to the Association for Dementia Studies (ADS). The focus of which is securely set on a body of work that will improve the lives of people living with dementia, their families and those who work to support them. Established under the leadership of Professor Dawn Brooker in May 2009, ADS works in partnership with health and social care providers, practitioners, commissioners and government agencies to provide research, education and expert consultancy in the field of person-centred dementia care and support.

100 PhD Funding Awards for International Students for 2011, UK: (science, humanities, arts and social sciences)

University of Exeter is offering more than 100 funding awards for PhD students for 2011 entry to show our commitment to developing the next generation of researchers.
Ranked 12th in the Times Good University Guide 2011, we are a research intensive university with a strong reputation. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, all our 31 subjects were assessed as including world-leading (4*) research and nearly 90 per cent of our research was rated as being internationally recognised.
PhD funding is available in science, arts, humanities and social sciences subjects. Awards vary according to the subject area and range from full studentships covering all fees and a maintenance grant for three years to partial funding. Awards may be open to both UK/EU and international students*.
