Know-How Exchange Programme Austria Call for Proposals 2011:European Integration, Capacity Building and Market Economy

KEP Projects aim at promoting capacity building, technical assistance and know-how exchange from EU to the non-EU countries of the Central European Initiative. Interested applicants from CEI EU countriescan submit project proposals with eligible CEI non-EU countries.

Financing: The CEI finances up to 50% of the total project cost and not more than €40.000 per project. Sufficient co-financing must be ensured by the applicant from his own or external sources.

Projects supported under the KEP shall have an economic background, covering economic transition or institution building and shall be carried out by using combinations of know-how transfer tools (e.g. study tours, secondment of staff, peer reviews, preparation of manuals, etc.) which promise effective transfer of given know-how and its successful implementation by the recipient institution.

Research Associateships in FCWSRC for Women 2011-2012, USA

Research positions for the 2011-2012 year at the Center fall into one category only: Research Associateships. Please see below for a description of and link to an on-line application form.
Open to feminist scholars, teachers, artists, writers, and activists from the United States and abroad, Associates are provided with offices in our spacious facility, library privileges, and the collegiality of a diverse community of feminists. The Center supports projects in all disciplines so long as they focus centrally on women or gender. Applications are accepted for either a semester or an academic year. During the period of appointment, Associates are expected to be in residence in the Five College area, and to attend weekly seminars and other FCWSRC events. Each Research Associate gives a public presentation on her work and is expected to participate actively in the daily life of the Center. No funding is attached to the Associateship.

prestigious awards for young painters and sculptors of outstanding promise
• one year’s residence at the British School at Rome(October 2011–September 2012)
• use of a spacious and well-lit studio
• full board and lodging plus an allowance (a grant of £500 per month; plus a travel grant of £1,200)

You Will Be
• a promising and ambitious painter or sculptor
• a graduate in Fine Art (or expect to have graduated before1 October 2011)
• under 30 years of age on 1 October 2011
• a British national or have been working professionally or studying at postgraduate level for at least the last five years in the UK (i.e. since December 2005)
• able to show the importance of a residency in Rome for your practice
• able to submit a portfolio of recent drawings and examples of either paintings or sculptures
• keen to share the benefits of a residential community
