MDIS Merit Scholarship for National and International Students, Singapore

The MDIS Merit Scholarship is an initiative aimed at providing high-calibre students with the opportunity to develop to their full potential. It offers scholarships to outstanding students pursuing their studies with MDIS.

The Scholarship does not carry a work bond and for every successful applicant, the following are available:
• Partial scholarships for Master’s Degrees valued at SGD 10,000 each
• Partial scholarships for Bachelor’s Degrees valued at SGD 10,000 each
• Partial scholarships for Advanced Diplomas valued at SGD 3,000 each
• Partial scholarships for Diplomas valued at SGD 3,000 each
– Eligible local and international candidates of all years of study and from all schools can apply, subject to selection approval. There is no charge levied for application.

Beverly Anderson Scholarship for Women, George Mason University, Virginia

AAUW is a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls. The AAUW Educational Foundation funds research on girls, education, and community action projects. and provides fellowships and grants to outstanding women around the globe. The Fairfax City Branch of AAUW is offering a scholarship to a woman who has returned to college after an interruption to her college career and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at George Mason University. The scholarship amount may be as much as $2500 (actual amount will be determined by March 15, 2011) and must be used by the end of the 2011-2012 academic year.

Queen Elizabeth II Scholarships, University of Birmingham 2011 in UK

The University of Birmingham is delighted to offer the Queen Elizabeth II international scholarships worth £7,000 towards tuition fees for a one year masters course to graduates of the Universitas 21 (U21) community. These scholarships are offered as a symbol of our commitment to the U21 network and the benefits of international educational co-operation.

-applicants must be a graduate of a Universitas 21 University
– applicants should have an excellent academic background obtaining a good 2:1 equivalent bachelors degree as a minimum
-applicants should also demonstrate excellence in an area of their life. This might be outstanding academic achievement, exceptional achievement in extra curricular activities (such as sport, music, managing events or societies) or significant achievement gained either in their working life or through volunteering and service to others
-applicants must also outline the contribution they will make to the University of Birmingham as a student and what they expect to gain from studying here.

Eligibility
-be overseas for fee purposes
– have applied for a one year full time masters course and have been issued with a student id number
– must not be in receipt of a full fee scholarship from any other source
-any application received without an id number will not be considered
– be in the final year of a bachelor degree at a partner Universitas 21 institution within the last five years of the proposed date entry to the University of Birmingham
– have made adequate financial provision to study in the UK.
