Doctoral Positions at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, Germany

The institute provides a stimulating, competitive, yet collaborative environment for research and graduate education. Qualified candidates can pursue doctoral degrees under the supervision of MPI-SWS Faculty.

Graduate students work as members of one or more of the institute’s research groups, which perform internationally leading, highly visible research in their respective fields of specialization. Graduate students receive individual training and mentoring from MPI-SWS faculty, preparing them for leadership in world-class academic or industrial research.

All admitted students receive a scholarship to cover fees, living expenses and health insurance. Additional financial support is provided for students with a dependent spouse or children.

Qualified candidates who wish to pursue a doctoral degree in a research area covered by MPI-SWS faculty may apply using the application form. The review of applications for Fall 2011 will begin on January 15, 2011. Prospective students are strongly encouraged to submit applications by that date; however, we will continue to accept applications throughout the year for exceptionally strong candidates. Please expect a delay of up to three months when applying outside the normal schedule.

Undergraduate Scholarship in Computer Science at Politecnico di Torino, Italy

The project offers international students the possibility to receive a scholarship and other benefits to graduate from the Politecnico di Torino attending the Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering (Ingegneria Informatica) at the Verrès campus. The initiative is promoted by the Politecnico di Torino and supported by Regione Valle d’Aosta.

  1. Being not an Italian citizen, or being an Italian citizen who is also in possess of another citizenship
  2. Being at least 18 years old (by 15/09/2011)
  3. Having successfully submitted a complete application for the Bachelor program in Computer Engineering (corso di Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica) of the Politecnico di Torino for the 2011/2012 academic year.
  4. Knowledge of the Italian language, preferably demonstrated by an international certification
  5. Not having enrolled at the Politecnico di Torino before the 2011/2012 academic year
  6. Not being the recipient of other scholarships, Italian or foreign.

2011 Master’s Scholarship in Car Design in Domus Academy in Italy

The aim of focusing on these topics is awakening the consciousness of the masters candidates about the collateral factors that directly shape & define the real necessities of the consumers and their expectations from the car industry via the designers. The competition is open to any designer (professional or student) who is interested to gain a new vision & mindset in the Car Design field through DA Master in Car Design Program for challenging the future automobile trends.
Two scholarships, each of one covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Master in Car Design at Domus Academy 22.200 euro (euro 18.500 + VAT 20%). These conditions are intended for the Academic Year 2011-2012 (September 2011 – August 2012) only.
