2011-2012 Masters Scholarships, Swansea University, UK: Environmental Biology Conservation and Resource Management, Environmental Dynamics and Climatic Change

These scholarships are part of the Access to Masters (ATM) programme backed by the Convergence European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Assembly Government.  Small and medium sized organisations located in the Convergence Area of Wales (Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea & Torfaen) are invited to participate in the muli-disciplinary initiative and benefit from a postgraduate research project tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation as each MSc student will undertake a project assigned to an organisation. The School has a large number of fully-funded scholarships available for the following programmes: MSc Global Migration, Politics and Societ. MSc Environmental Biology: Conservation and Resource Management. MSc Environmental Dynamics and Climatic Change
Eligibility: 1Only Masters applicants from the UK or EU will be eligible, Applicants should hold (or be expecting to achieve) a minimum of a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) , Applicants should have already applied formally to the University for a place on one of the above programmes.   If you have not yet applied for a place to study, please visit the Admissions Office website for information regarding application. Applicants should have an address in the Convergence Area of Wales (see above) on enrolment and be permitted to work in the Convergence Area upon completion of the scholarship

Chevening UCL Israel Alumni Association and Chaim Herzog Award in UK -2011: Public policy, governance and politics.

The University College London (UCL) Israel Alumni Association and the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) offer an annual award in memory of the late President Chaim Herzog. The award will enable the recipient to undertake a Masters Programme at UCL in September 2011. All applications will be considered, however priority is given to public policy, governance and politics.Competition for Chevening scholarships is intense. A typical successful applicant would be:

A graduate with proven academic skills. Committed to return to Israel and contribute to the socio-economic and/or political development through implementing new skills and knowledge acquired in the UK. Be able to show at interview that they possess the personal qualities to benefit from their scholarship and use it to succeed in their chosen career. Have a clear idea how their scholarship will benefit Israel on their return with the potential to rise to senior and influential positions in the public or private sectors. Have excellent English Language skills, that will meet the entry requirements for admission onto Postgraduate courses in the UK. Applicants should be Israeli nationals currently living in Israel. Preference is given to candidates who have a proven track record of success or excellence in their professional life, and who display intellectual ability and leadership potential. Preference will be given to applicants who have never studied in the UK. Preference is given to Masters candidates. PhD candidates will not be considered. We welcome applications for scholarships.

2011 Scholarships in Master in Fashion Design at Domus Academy, Italy

The course is designed to contribute to the development of professional figures able to express their creativity and face the new challenges coming from the Fashion world. Fashion is a global phenomena that creates and enhance personality. Fashion designers of the next coming years are requested to be able to make statements coherent with the time we are living, proposing models of beauty into a constantly changing society. The search for talents to form and support in their individuality is a continuing task of Domus Academy Fashion Design Masters Course that counts winners of the most prestigious international talents competitions such as Who’s on next. Partecipants are asked to create small capsule collection (10 outfits). Theme and style are free.

Two scholarships each of one covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Master in Fashion Design at Domus Academy 22.200 euro (euro 18.500 + VAT 20%). These conditions are intended for the Academic Year 2011-2012 (September 2011 – August 2012) only.
