Aspire 2011 Scholarship Programme, UK: Management studies

UCD Smurfit School is delighted to announce the launch of the Aspire Scholarship Programme 2011.  These scholarships are great news for students who may have thought a Masters Degree at UCD Smurfit School was beyond their means.  We are offering up to 3 MBA and 9 MSc scholarships.  The successful applicants will receive 50% of their tuition fees for their chosen MSc or MBA programme. If you have the drive and initiative to study at UCD Smurfit School but are being held back by your personal financial circumstances, one of these scholarships could be for you. Welcome to our ‘Aspire 2011’ scholarship programme. Now in its second year, this exciting initiative offers you a unique opportunity to study at Ireland’s leading business school, starting next September. We have received generous funding from a donor – who has chosen to remain anonymous – to provide: Up to 3 MBA scholarships; and  Up to 9 scholarships for any of our other Masters programmes. for study starting in September 2011.
These scholarships are intended by the donor as a contribution to the recovery of the Irish economy. They are specifically for those who could not otherwise afford to study at UCD Smurfit School. If you have the talent, the drive and the initiative to study successfully at UCD Smurfit School and to go on to a successful career in Ireland, but are being held back by your personal financial circumstances, one of these scholarships could be for you. They represent an extraordinary gesture of belief in the resilience of this country by the donor and we are hugely grateful for the generosity shown.

International Excellence Award in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK

For September 2011 entry, 1 x £1,000 International Excellence Award is available to an outstanding-calibre overseas student for the MSc and MRes degrees offered by the Department of Civil Engineering. In order to be eligible for short-listing for one of these prestigious awards, you should submit a one page supporting statement  via the Department’s application process (please access the link below). The Department of Civil Engineering/David Livingstone Centre for Sustainability is offering a £1,000 award to attract the best international student to our innovative MSc and MRes courses.
Strathclyde is a leading technological University and the Department of Civil Engineering has unique postgraduate programmes on offer: the MSc in Environmental Entrepreneurship is the first in Europe; the MSc in Environmental Forensics is supported by the best-equipped environmental forensics labs in the UK; and the syllabus of the MSc in Geotechnics has been designed in consultation with industry to incorporate the most modern methods of analysis, using industry-standard software, such as PLAXIS, ReWard and GeoSlope.
The 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration and the Sustainable Glasgow Programme make Glasgow a ‘happening place’ for the study of Civil Engineering and environmental-related topics.
