Graduate Association (Hong Kong) Awards 2011, UK

The University of Liverpool Graduate Association (Hong Kong) Awards were established in 1997 following a generous donation from an anonymous benefactor. The objectives of the scholarships are to promote educational exchange and academic research respectively, between the University of Liverpool and residents of Hong Kong SAR and the People’s Republic of China.
Eligibility: A number of scholarships are awarded annually to academically outstanding students on undergraduate or postgraduate courses who have been admitted to full-time study. Each scholarship will be tenable for a period of three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The value of the scholarship will cover either full or part payment of the annual tuition fees. A living allowance may also be awarded if deemed necessary.

2011 Fulbright Scholarship Program in Teaching/Research in Cameroon

Teaching at CATUC, CCU and the University of Buea is in English, while teaching at the Adventist University is in French. In the other universities, professors may teach in English or French, but they need to have a working knowledge of French.Candidates will teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in any discipline offered at a participating host institution and may provide tutorials and student advising services. They may also supervise graduate student research and mentor faculty. They will have time for personal research in any area of research interest.Teaching at CATUC, CCU and the University of Buea is in English, while teaching at the Adventist University is in French. Scholars with a Ph.D. and a minimum two years postdoctoral university or college teaching experience are preferred. Academic and professional candidates will be considered. Applicants combining teaching and research are advised to plan on an 80/20 teaching to research ratio. Undergraduate classes (100-1,000 students) are large in public schools, but get smaller (below 100) for advanced and graduate classes. Candidates are advised to correspond with potential host institutions to determine whether their specializations fit into existing programs. A letter of invitation is recommended, but not required.

Undergraduate International Student Scholarship, Keele University, UK

The Keele International Student Scholarship for undergraduate students is worth GBP2000 towards the cost of your annual tuition fees for the duration of your course.  Students studying a three-year degree could therefore save GBP6000 from the total cost of your degree studies. The Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate excellence in at least two of the following areas: Academic qualifications,  English Language ability,  Understanding of the course and motivation to study at Keele,  Extra-curricular or work experience Please note that students studying the 5-year undergraduate degree in Medicine and the 4-year undergraduate degree in Pharmacy are not eligible for this award. To apply for the KIS Scholarship you must have applied to Keele and been offered a place to study here.  The decisions on Scholarships are made by the International Recruitment Team and their decision is final.
