Scholarship Description: WorldNomads.com in conjunction with National Geographic Channel is offering the chance to go to Bhutan on-assignment with National Geographic photographer Jason Edwards. The Scholarship recipient will photograph rare and endangered wildlife, historical architecture and colourful cultural life in Bhutan.

The winner of the scholarship will be flown to Paro from their country of residence where they will join an 7 day personalised expedition with Jo Jo’s Adventures.

Eligibility: * Anyone can apply – this is open to photography students, lovers of photography or any non-professional trying to kickstart a career in travel photography.

* Minimum age 18.

* This is a global opportunity – you may apply from any country.

* You should be an exceptional photographer with a lust for adventure, ambition to grow your photographic skills and forge a career in Travel Photography, and of course a desire to travel to Antarctica.

*Remember this is a scholarship, a learning experience, and therefore will not be suitable for professional or Semi-professional photographers.

Criteria: Awarded to a Saskatchewan student (resident for at least 1 year), registered in at least 15 credit hours in the Programme du Baccalauréat en éducation française in the semester immediately following grade 12 Graduation. A minimum admission average of 75% is required. The recipients of this scholarship will be selected on admission average (weighted 50%) and demonstrated interest and commitment towards French language and culture (weighted 50%).

Criteria: The bursary will be awarded in the Fall semester to a third-year student in the Baccalauréat en éducation française, who is pursuing a first degree. The student must be a grade 12 graduate of the Saskatchewan Immersion Program or the Saskatchewan Core French Program. The recipient will be required to register for full-time studies (minimum 12 credit hours) at the University of Regina. The selection committee will consider the following factors equally: academic standing, financial need, and demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities in French.

Scholarship for those students who are studying abroad in any country except Cuba or a country on the U.S. Department of States

Job Description: The Gilman Scholarship Program offers awards for undergraduate study abroad and was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Eligibility
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program is open to all U.S. citizen undergraduates, in good academic standing, who meet the criteria listed below:

* The applicant must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant or provide proof that he/she will be receiving a Pell Grant at the time of application or during the term of his/her study abroad.
* The applicant is applying to or has been accepted into a study abroad program eligible for credit by the student’s accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.
* The applicant is studying abroad for at least four weeks in one country. Programs going to more than one country are eligible if the student will be studying in one country for at least four consecutive weeks.
* The applicant is studying abroad in any country except Cuba or a country on the U.S. Department of State’s current Travel Warning list.
