2011 Lee Kuan Yew (Lky) Postdoctoral Fellowship, Singapore: Engineering, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Science

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in their respective areas of specialisation. It will be awarded concurrently with the candidate’s appointment as a research staff in the schools under the following:

The University Honors Scholars Program offers a distinctive curriculum. Scholars participate in four exclusive, interdisciplinary, year-long seminars designed to meet most of their general education requirements.

PhD Scholarship in Indigenous Policy 2011, Australia

Outstanding applicants are encouraged to apply for a new PhD scholarship available from February 2011, to undertake a project into capability theory and Indigenous policy. Stipend $27,222 pa for three years.
The PhD student will undertake research into the potential application of capability theory to the development of Indigenous policy in Australia. The PhD topic fits within a broader research agenda, namely that of analysing whether a process of democratic dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians can have capability-enhancing effects. The findings from the PhD project are expected to enhance the development of a process of democratic dialogue in the broader project. The successful applicant may occasionally be required to travel to participate in dialogue meetings.
