CEU MA and PhD Scholarships in Nationalism Studies, Hungary

The Nationalism Studies Program at Central European University is pleased to announce its Call for Applications for Academic Year 2011/2012.

Central European University (CEU) is an English-language, graduate university located in Budapest, Hungary. The university is accredited in the US and Hungary.

It encourages critical and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of nationalism and provides students with a theoretical and methodological background in applied social sciences. Students may specialize in Jewish studies.

* Master of Arts in Nationalism Studies (two years)

* Doctor of Philosophy in Comparative History of Central, Southeastern and Eastern Europe

Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program 2011: Public Policy

The Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program combines a paid public policy internship with two career skills seminars and weekly policy lectures. You’ll gain real-world experience, take a crash course in market-based policy analysis, and hone your professional skills. The intensive ten-week program begins in June and includes a $1,500 stipend and a housing allowance.

Master Mundus German and French Philosophy in the European Context

The Master Mundus Program “German and French Philosophy in the European Context” (EuroPhilosophie) offers to the best students from around the world a specialized advanced course of study for two years in the fields of German and French philosophy and their interaction within the European cultural context.
Each year the Master EuroPhilosophie selects:

– Approximately ten students ?who are not European Union citizens and who have not spent more than 12 months in the EU are offered an annual scholarship of 20, 800 euro (Erasmus Mundus A) to study at three universities in the EuroPhilosophie Consortium. (Registration fees for students receiving a scholarship amounts to 2400 euro per semester).

– Approximately 8 citizens of EU or non-citizens of the European Union who have spent more than 12 months in European Union are offered an annual scholarship of 9000 euro (Erasmus Mundus B) to study at three universities in the EuroPhilosophie Consortium. (Registration fees for students receiving a scholarship amounts to 750 euro per semester).

The program also admits non-European and European students without awarding a scholarship from the Erasmus Mundus European Commission. The cost of participation for non-European students is the same as those from group A, and European students is the same as those from group B.
