2011 Scholarships in Master in Fashion Design at Domus Academy, Italy

The course is designed to contribute to the development of professional figures able to express their creativity and face the new challenges coming from the Fashion world. Fashion is a global phenomena that creates and enhance personality. Fashion designers of the next coming years are requested to be able to make statements coherent with the time we are living, proposing models of beauty into a constantly changing society. The search for talents to form and support in their individuality is a continuing task of Domus Academy Fashion Design Masters Course that counts winners of the most prestigious international talents competitions such as Who’s on next. Partecipants are asked to create small capsule collection (10 outfits). Theme and style are free.

Two scholarships each of one covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Master in Fashion Design at Domus Academy 22.200 euro (euro 18.500 + VAT 20%). These conditions are intended for the Academic Year 2011-2012 (September 2011 – August 2012) only.

2011 Scholarships Programme for Master’s in Interior and Living Design, Domus Academy in Italy

Master in Interior and Living Design -MILD- intends to create a new professional character: a designer of spaces and services, able to conjugate technical-design skills, solid cultural basis and strategic abilities. During the Master, the students are given the possibility to deepen their knowledge of design tools, not only related to the industrial or craftsmanship production.

Amuse us is an international competition aimed at the collection of design ideas sharing a new interpretation of ‘quality time’ for places and people. The competition addresses young graduates coming from architecture, interior design, engineering faculties or people with a relevant.Two scholarships each of one covering 50% of the total tuition fee of the Master in Interior and Living Design at Domus Academy 22.200 euro (euro 18.500 + VAT 20%). PhD and Postdoctoral Positions, Tilburg Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science, Netherlands

The Tilburg Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS) invites applications for two four-year full-time PhD positions and one two-year postdoc position.Individuals that are encouraged to apply have an interest in logical and computational theories of ordinary reasoning, natural logic, and/or linguistic semantics and want to investigate these topics in a setting of tableau theorem proving and model checking. The positions are part of the program “Towards Logics that Model Natural Reasoning”, funded by a Free Competition grant from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and led by Reinhard Muskens.

We expect the willingness to work in an international interdisciplinary research environment. The PhD candidates will receive a starting salary of 2042 Euro gross per month in the first year. The salary in the last year is 2612 Euro. The postdoctoral researcher will receive a starting salary ranging from 2977 to 3195 Euro gross per month, depending on experience.Applications (in English) should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a two-page research proposal, and the names of two references.
