PhD Position in Car2Car Communications, Luxembourg: Car-to-Car communications and intelligent transportation systems (ITS)

The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire outstanding researchers at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) http://www.securityandtrust.lu .
SnT is a recently formed centre carrying out interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the EU 7 th framework programme and the European Space Agency. A successful candidate will conduct research in one or more of the centre projects and assist in the development of the SnT project portfolio. The Centre invites researchers from diverse research areas to contribute to our projects in areas such as Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, Network Security, Model-drive Security, Security Cloud computing, and ICT Services & Applications.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Galaxy Evolution at High Redshift, University of Edinburgh, UK: Physics and Astronomy

Applications are invited for a Post Doctoral Fellow to work at the Institute for Astronomy (IfA), Royal Observatory Edinburgh in the study of galaxy evolution, especially in the high-redshift Universe. It is anticipated that the appointee will ideally be an experienced post-doctoral researcher capable of taking a leadership position in the field of galaxy evolution.

Global South Scholar-In-Residence Programme, Switzerland: International affairs, development studies, international economics, international relations, international law, international history and politics

The Institute is pleased to welcome academics from Africa, Asia and Latin America for a period of one semester.
Candidates are invited to apply to the programme. Successful applicants will be able to take advantage of their period in residence to update their teaching curricula, participate in teaching courses, further their research projects and contribute to enriching the intellectual life of the Institute.
Priority will be given to university teachers – with a preference for women and junior academics – who will seek to apply the benefits of their stay at the Institute upon returning to their own institutions.
Thanks to the generous support of a Swiss foundation that wishes to remain anonymous, the Institute will welcome three participants each semester who will spend between three and five months at the Institute.
