FE Transition Bursary in University of Edinburgh for Undergraduate Students 2011 in UK

These bursaries offer financial assistance to undergraduate students who enter university with HNC/HND.Further Education (FE) Transition Bursaries assist undergraduate students whose entry qualification may be a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Higher National Certificate (HNC) instead of Highers or A-levels.Students must be admitted to the first year of a full-time programme of study rather than entering second year directly.

In general, SAAS will not assist students with payment of university tuition fees in year 1, if the student has already received such assistance during studies.HNC/HNDFE Transition Bursaries are awarded to students with home fees status for payment of tuition fees only.Normally, students require an FE Transition Bursary for one year only as they are eligible for assistance with their tuition fees for their subsequent years of study.Students can still apply for a student loan through the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).Students can seek advice on eligibility for a FE Transition Bursary from any of the EUSA Advice Place Offices.

Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Mathematics Scholarships 2011 in UK

Scholarships are offered to international students of outstanding ability from outside the European Union.A number of scholarships are offered to Mathematics students of outstanding ability from countries outside the European Union.The scholarships are worth £1,000 per year and tenable for the duration of the programme of study, subject to satisfactory progress.Scholarship cheques are handed to the winners at an award ceremony at the beginning of the academic session.This scholarship is competitive and based on academic merit.It is awarded to applicants from countries outside the European Union who are accepted for full-time admission to an undergraduate Mathematics degree programme at the University.The scholarship is not available to students already on programme.

Applicants should have applied through the University and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) and been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship.

Scholarship Application Deadline: 1 April 2011.

Udall Scholarships Position in Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution

The Udall Foundation invites applications for the 2011 Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution Dissertation Fellowship. We hope that you will post or distribute the attached application materials to qualified Ph.D. students. The Udall Foundation awards two one-year fellowships of up to $24,000 to doctoral candidates whose research concerns U.S. environmental public policy and/or U.S. environmental conflict resolution, and who are entering their final year of writing the dissertation. Dissertation Fellowships are intended to cover both academic and living expenses from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
