Fulbright Scholarship Program in Teaching/Research in Democratic Republic of the Congo

Top priorities for applications are in political development, nation-building, development of electoral systems, conflict resolution, good governance and dealing with corruption and economic development. Other fields of interest include environmental protection, eco-tourism, Congolese music, art, and literature, archaeology, ethnic studies, linguistics, American studies and teacher training and curriculum development for English-language teaching. Applications are also welcome in other disciplines.

Scholars with a Ph.D., postdoctoral university or college teaching and research experience and previous experience in developing countries in political transition are preferred. The academic year consists of two semesters: mid-October until February and February until the end of July. A letter of invitation from the host institution is not needed to apply. An English language school, the American School of Kinshasa, is available for children in grades K-12 who accompany scholar.

2012 Rotary Peace Fellowship: International relations, Peace, and Conflict resolution

The Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution program supports the mission of The Rotary Foundation to further world understanding and peace.
The purpose of the Rotary Peace Centers program is to
• Support and advance research, teaching, publication, and practical field experience on issues of peace, goodwill, causes of conflict, and world understanding
• Inspire people to work for a culture of peace and tolerance while enhancing their capacity, knowledge, and skill by generating interaction between practitioners and academics
• Provide advanced international education opportunities in the area of peace and conflict resolution
• Provide a means for The Rotary Foundation and Rotarians to increase their effectiveness in promoting greater tolerance and cooperation among peoples, leading to world understanding and peace
The Rotary Peace Centers program is intended for individuals who have chosen a career related to international relations, peace, and conflict resolution, who already have work experience in these areas, and who have real potential to positively impact our world. Candidates should consider these objectives carefully before applying and should be prepared to explain in their written statement and interviews how they would support these program objectives. In particular, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to community or international humanitarian service, and working for peace.

Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) Bachelors and Masters Scholarships 2011 for International Students: International Studies, Business Administration

The Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA), Government of Azerbaijan, is a school of International Affairs located in Baku, at the center of an increasingly significant part of the world, has offered scholarships for foreign students for Bachelor or Master studies for the Academic Year 2011-12. For either degree, the curriculum is divided into two components:
General Education: Year 1 and 2
