Through EWC affiliation, awardees become part of a growing network of students and alumni forging the shape and substance of the world’s most vibrant region.

Fellowship provisions include tuition and fees, graduate residence hall room costs, health insurance, book allowance, and partial living stipend. Competitive supplemental awards and field study/travel grant awards are available to EWC Graduate Degree fellows.

Degree fellows have opportunities to participate in graduate certificate programs offered in leadership studies, international cultural studies, population studies, and conflict resolution that enhance their degree studies. Other opportunities include invited participation in the Center’s research projects in several areas of international study including politics, governance and security, economics, environmental change, population and health, education, and Pacific islands development.

INCORE Summer School Programme in University of Ulster for Conflict Resolution and Peace Building

The INCORE Summer School 2011 is recognised by UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) Programme of Correspondence Instruction in Peacekeeping Operations, and may form part of The Certificate-of-Training In Peace Support Operations (COTIPSO) Programme. The 2011 International Summer School will run from 13th – 17th June.

Alongside these modules we also run the Northern Ireland programme to provide participants with an opportunity to network with others, gaining a deeper insight into into the causes and consequences of the conflict in Northern Ireland. The Transitional Justice Institute at the University of Ulster will be running their Summer School entitled “Gender, Conflict and Transition” in the same week as the INCORE Summer School. Participants from the TJI Summer School will join INCORE Summer School participants during the Northern Ireland Programme and for social events.

Udall Scholarships Position in Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution

The Udall Foundation invites applications for the 2011 Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution Dissertation Fellowship. We hope that you will post or distribute the attached application materials to qualified Ph.D. students. The Udall Foundation awards two one-year fellowships of up to $24,000 to doctoral candidates whose research concerns U.S. environmental public policy and/or U.S. environmental conflict resolution, and who are entering their final year of writing the dissertation. Dissertation Fellowships are intended to cover both academic and living expenses from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
