Canon Foundation in Europe Research Fellowships

The candidates hold a doctorate or at least a Master’s degree. They are eligible during the ten-year period following the successful completion of their PhD or MA degree. Extensions to the ten-year rule are possible in principle in case of exceptional circumstances which should be explained in the application and supporting documents are required. The European Fellowship holders pursue a period of research in Japan whereas the Japanese Fellows do their research at host institutions in Europe. The Fellowships are awarded for periods of minimum three months and maximum one year.

The Fellowships are awarded regardless of discipline and existing employment positions
.You are a Japanese national or permanent resident of Japan
·You hold a doctorate or at least a Master’s degree
·You have successfully completed you PhD or Master’s degree no longer than ten years ago.

University of Central Lancashire International PhD Scholarship in the School of Postgraduate Medicine and Dentistry, UK

Applications are invited for a full-time scholarship available in the School of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education. The scholarship is tenable for up to 3 years for a PhD (via MPhil route) [subject to satisfactory progress] and is open to international applicants only. UK/EU applicants are not eligible to apply. The scholarship will provide £15000 towards the cost of the International tuition fee over 3 years.
Musculoskeletal problems in young people are common and consume considerable health resources. To date there has been limited focus on the aetiology and natural history of these disorders. Studies have in the main focused on older people because of the societal cost of disability. However there is some evidence that musculoskeletal disorders of the lower limb in young adults may be associated with longer term problems. This PhD programme will take an epidemiological approach to investigating the prevalence of, incidence of and risk factors for lower limb problems in young adults

ESF Scholarships for EU Nationals: MSc Energy Policy, University of Exeter, UK

The University of Exeter is offering a number of generous scholarships of up to £2,000 each for students beginning the MSc Energy Policy at our Cornwall Campus in October 2011. The awards are part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and are only open to EU Nationals (resident in Cornwall during their studies). The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on Friday 29th July 2011. Further details are available from Josie Turner. Please submit an application for the programme, together with a supporting statement of up to 500 words describing what you hope to achieve with this MSc. The Course Director will award scholarships on the basis of both your application to the programme and your scholarship supporting statement.
