Harbin Engineering University International Scholarship 2011-2012, China: Science,Engineering

The scholarship for international students to encourage and support the study at Harbin Engineering University.Students who are applying for Harbin Engineering University must be Non-Chinese citizen or from Hong Kong, Taiwan or Macao.Three type of scholarship is offering.First,The full scholarship ,this will provide Free Tuition plus living expenses.The Standard of Living expense will be -for bachelor candidate 1400yuan RMB /month,for Master candidate 1700yuan RMB /month,for doctoral candidate 2000yuan RMB /month.Second,The First Prize Scholarship will provide Free tuition.Third,Second Prize Scholarship will provide 50% deduction from tuition fees.
The applicants for Master or PhD programs should submit their graduation certificates or diploma, the topic and abstract of graduation thesis as well as two recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors in the relating research fields.

Arup Fire Scholarship at University of Canterbury, New Zealand:Fire engineering

Established in 2005 by Arup Fire, an international fire safety design company, the purpose of this scholarship is to support a student currently enrolled in the Masters of Engineering in Fire Engineering course at the University of Canterbury to undertake fundamental research into fire safety and fire science.
For full-time students enrolled in a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering (MEFE).

2011 Design Impact Fellowship in India

In November 2011, Design Impact will celebrate our second year of embedded design by assigning our first round of full time designers, or “Fellows”, to Indian organizations–kicking off five projects that apply design to social and environmental issues.
As a Design Impact Fellow you will:
Live and work for six months amongst the challenges faced by resource-poor communities.Learn about international development and non-profit structures from a unique perspective.Play a leadership role on a design project that has measurable positive outcomes for society.Use your design skills in non-traditional functions such as organizational capacity building, product distribution patterns, partnership development, and solution implementation.
