2011 The O2 Scholarship in MBA Programme at University of Reading in UK

This postgraduate scholarship provides a number of awards up to the value of £1000 – £6000 towards the cost of tuition fees, for students applying for the MSc Marketing and International Management programme. It is available (dependent on eligibility) for 1 year.This scholarship is sponsored by Telefónica O2 UK Limited, a leading communications company for consumers and businesses in the UK, with 19.1 million mobile customers and over 260,000 fixed broadband customers as at 30 September 2008. Telefónica O2 UK Limited is part of Telefónica Europe plc which is a business division of Telefónica S.A. and which owns O2 in the UK, Ireland, Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic, and has 43.8 million customers.

  • UK, EU or International postgraduate taught students who have received an offer of a place on the MSc degree in Marketing and International Management programme.
  • Applicants must also meet the School’s academic entry requirements and obtain an IELTS score of 7.0 or the equivalent.
  • You must first receive and accept an offer of a place on the MSc Marketing and International Management programme in the School of Management, and paid the required deposit.

Please return a completed scholarship application form with your confirmation of acceptance.Shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend a formal interview and winners will be notified following the appropriate deadline.

    15 Doctoral Studentships at BEEGS 2011, Sweden

    A total of 15 doctoral studentships are available this year in the Baltic and East European Graduate School (BEEGS). Södertörn University invites applications within five disciplines: Business Administration, Ethnology, History, Political Science and Sociology. These disciplines belong to two research areas: Historical Studies, and Politics, Economy and the Organisation of Society .
    Research in BEEGS focuses on Baltic and Eastern Europe, and successful applicants for the studentships must focus their research on this region. We welcome applicants from all over the world. We require fluency in English, since this is the working language at BEEGS.

    Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme for Commonwealth Developing Countries, 2011 in UK: Economic, Social, Technology related subjects

    Awards are for taught postgraduate courses only. All courses undertaken must be demonstrably relevant to the economic, social or technological development of the candidate’s home country.Awards are only available at participating institutions in the UK. The booklet giving details of the UK institutions offering Scholarships joint-funded with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in 2011 is available below for download or can be obtained in print copy from the Scheme Administrators.Please note that participating universities are required to support the student stipend for the award holder (at the rate set by the UK Government). The Commission funds the cost of tuition fees (at overseas rate), return airfares and other allowances.Applicants should:
    a. be nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) a Commonwealth developing country, and not currently be living or studying in a developed country (please see the booklet for a list of eligible countries)
    b. hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level;
    c . be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course
    d. have not previously studied for one year or more in a developed country
    e. not be employed by a government department (for this purpose the Commission counts this as being employed by a Government Ministry).
    f. be able to confirm in writing that neither they or their families would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study
    g. be willing to confirm that they will return to their home country as soon as their period of study is complete.
