University of Southampton Postgraduate Scholarships 2011-2012, UK: Arts and Design

Winchester School of Art announced Postgraduate Scholarships to both UK/EU and international students . The scholarships have been put in place to assist students during their studies at the School.
The following scholarship are available for students:

-Confidence Scholarships
-Equal Opportunity Scholarships
The candidate can apply for scholarship depending on which programme you are starting next year, you will need to fill Postgraduate application form. There are several choices of Scholarships on each form, so you will need to state clearly which one you wish to apply for. Applications for the above scholarships will be considered only after the applicant has been offered a place and accepted the offer by returning the “Reply to Offer”slip.

2011 China Postgraduate Scholarship by Tan Kah Kee Foundation

In commemoration of the invaluable contributions made by the late philanthropist Mr Tan Kah Kee, in the field of education, the Tan Kah Kee Foundation has been awarding Postgraduate Scholarship since 1983. The scholarships are open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are pursuing full-time Master degree or PhD in any discipline, regardless of race or religion. Candidates are appraised on their academic achievements, outstanding personal character and bilingual capabilities. The scholarship will be awarded annually and is bond-free. In line with the spirit of the late Mr Tan Kah Kee’s unfailing community commitment, the importance of contribution to the community cannot be over-emphasized. Not only should the recipients of the award excel in their field of study, but also they should concern for their countrymen and the willingness to serve the community. Many past award recipients are now back in Singapore and working in universities and various research institutes, as well as in private and public sectors in Singapore, actively contributing to the development of the nation. The application is open in May every year. Shortlisted applicants will be informed to attend an interview in the month of June or July. Scholarship amount for those studying in overseas or local universities are S$10,000 & S$7,000 respectively.

Postgraduate Annual Fund Scholarships for UK and EU Students, Kingston University, UK

Through gifts made by Kingston alumni to the Annual Fund1, the Development Office is offering a number of postgraduate scholarships for UK and EU students (classified as ‘Home’ for fees purposes). The aim is to: encourage academic excellence; and allow talented young graduates to continue to higher levels of learning and research. They are available for all courses (except teacher training/PCGE courses) and will pay 50% of the fees (up to £3,000) for a one-year, full-time or two-year, part-time masters programme. Applicants must:  be classed as ‘Home’ for fees purposes; and have already received an offer of a place to study at Kingston. The closing date for scholarship applications for entry into the 2011/12 academic year is Friday 26 August 2011. We cannot consider applications for scholarships received after this deadline. Please check back later for the scholarship deadline for the 2012/13 academic year. We encourage all eligible applicants for postgraduate study to apply for an Annual Fund Postgraduate Scholarship.
