INSEAD Syngenta Endowed Scholarship(s) for Emerging Country Leadership: Business World

Two scholarships will be awarded per class and candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) a commitment to contributing to their country or region at some point in the future.

Canon Collins Trust and Edinburgh Business School Distance Learning MBA Scholarships, UK

Edinburgh Business School is working with Canon Collins Trust to select applicants for the Distance Learning MBA Scholarship. Unlike our other scholarship schemes, this is open to applicants from all over sub-Saharan Africa.
The aim of the scholarship programme is to support life-long learning amongst communities where it will make a positive contribution towards their development, and give individuals valuable post-graduate education which will enhance their future careers.
Successful candidates will be already in work, or self-employed, and at a point in their life and career where this MBA will make maximum impact for themselves and their community.

Jurek Piasecki Young Potential Leaders Programme MBA Scholarships, UK: Management

The recent economic and financial crises in the UK have created interesting debate about the future challenges faced by Britain in the global business world and in UK society. At Manchester Business School, we believe there is an essential need to invest in and develop young British talent who can rise to the future challenges of the global business environment and make a real difference as socially responsible business managers and leaders. With the aim of nurturing and fast- tracking future talent, we have decided to provide Full-time MBA programme opportunities for up to five very talented high-flyers to complete the Full-time MBA under a ‘Young Potential Leaders’ entry route. These individuals will demonstrate high potential for rapid career advancement and a track record of using their talent to improve society.

We are delighted to announce that the Young Potential Leaders programme is being supported by two scholarships kindly donated by one of our MBS alumni, Jurek Piasecki. Outstanding candidates accepted to the programme will be considered for two scholarship awards of up to £17,000.

Jurek Piasecki spent 25 years with the Goldsmiths Group, rising to become Chairman and CEO. Under his tenure the retailer grew its turnover from £3m to more than £300m. Goldsmiths was the UK’s second largest jewellery retailer in 2004.

Jurek obtained his MBA in 1973 and attributes much of his success to the Manchester Business School MBA programme. He now wishes to see others benefit from the same experience.

As a young British* potential leader, you will stand out from your peers. You should have the learning ability, cognitive agility and emotional intelligence to benefit from the opportunities and challenges of a world class full-time MBA programme. A maximum of five potential high-flyers will be accepted to join the programme.
