JRF Positions in the Department of Chemistry at IIT-Ropar, India: Development of [3 + 3]-Cycloaddition of Azomethine Lide towards the Construction of Piperidine Ring System: Application to the Alkaloids Synthesis

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DST SERC FAST Tract project entitled “Development of [3 + 3]-cycloaddition of Azomethine ylide towards the construction of Piperidine Ring System: Application to the Alkaloids Synthesis” under the supervision of undersigned. The selected candidate is possible to register for Ph. D. program as per existing Institute rules. The aim of the project is to develop new methodology dealing with cycloaddition reactions, asymmetric variant of the same and application towards alkaloids syntheses.
Eligibility: M.Sc. Chemistry with 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale with valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC NET qualified candidates are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification:  years of experience in handling moisture sensitive reactions, interpretation of spectral data, such as NMR, Mass, IR etc. Good writing and communication skill in English is also will be considered as a criterion

Scholarship Description: Indian and German researchers are invited to submit applications within the framework of the thematic call “Computational algorithmics with special focus on Algorithm Engineering“.
Eligibility of collaborating scientists:
India:
Faculty, scientists and academicians having permanent positions and belonging to universities, deemed universities and public funded research institutes can apply as a “Principal Investigator” (PI or Main Applicant).
Germany:
The eligibility criteria for participating as “Principal Investigator” (PI or Main Applicant) shall be according to the eligibility requirements of the DFG (please refer to DFG Form No. 1.02e).
