KODAK Student Scholarship Program 2011: Film, Film production, or cinematography

A Blue Ribbon Jury will evaluate all submitted work and make all final selections. The jury will consist of one
individual from Kodak and one from the University Film & Video Association (UFVA), plus a representative from the
filmmaking industry. Nominees will be evaluated on the basis of academic achievement, creative and technical ability,
communications ability, and range of filmmaking experience. Visual Imagery will count 50%, creative and other technical
skills 25%, and the other criteria 25%.
Conditions of Entry
1. Entries must be completed works that communicate a story or theme in some fashion — no clips or short vignettes.
2. Eligible institutions are colleges and universities in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belize, Benelux, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States,
Uruguay and Venezuela.
3. No more than two nominees per institution.
4. College student nominees must be fulltime undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the 2010 – 2011 academic
year and planning to enroll for the 2011 – 2012 academic year in a film school’s degree or diploma program.
5. All judges’ decisions are final.
6. The names of the winners may be published on the website at www.kodak.com/go/motion. Winners agree to allow the free use of their names, photographs and general location for publicity and news purposes in connection with the Scholarship Program.
7. The winner’s film entry will be screened at the annual UFVA Conference.

Cyprus International Institute-Harvard School of Public Health Masters Programs: Environmental Health and Epidemiology/Biostatistics

Given the collaborative nature of these academic programs, Harvard faculty members visit Cyprus regularly for extended periods to teach courses at the institute. Given also the collaborative nature of these programs, certain masters students graduated in the past got admitted to PhD programs at Harvard – along with other top tier prestigious schools. Rest have found their choice of jobs with the industry, government and as well consulting agencies.
CII doors are open to all the bright students from all over the world, who have broad interests in environmental and public health areas. CII also offers scholarships and financial aid that are very generous compared to several other equivalent programs in Europe/North America. 10 International Doctoral Fellowships, IMPRS for Neural Circuits, Frankfurt

The newly formed International MaxPlanck Research School (IMPRS) for Neural Circuits announces a call for the first generation of doctoral students.
The common focus of the IMPRS for Neural Circuits will be the understanding of neuralcircuits (from the simple to the large and complex),at all scales required to achieve this understanding.
The programme is taught in English and is open for students from all countries in the world holding a relevant Master´s or a Bachelor’s
degree.
