International Bremen Peace Award 2011, Germany: Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation

In November 2011 the Threshold Foundation will award the International Bremen Peace Award for exemplary commitments to Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation for the fifth time.
With this award we want to honour people and organizations that set an example through their work contributing to reconciliation, human rights, overcoming of racism, preservation of Creation as well as to intercultural and inter-religious understanding.
Awards will be given in three categories to individuals or organizations during a public ceremony at the Bremen Town Hall. The awards are endowed with a total amount of 15000 Euros, i.e. 5000 Euros in each category.

Faculty of Law- CUHK Master of Laws Scholarship Scheme 2011

Each year, the Faculty of Law (the “Faculty”) at CUHK will seek to assist students from around the world to join the Faculty’s Master of Laws programmes through the award of scholarships. Different countries/areas are supported on a rotational basis. For the academic year 2011-2012, two scholarships will be offered to non-local applicants from the following areas:

– Europe
– India
– North America (US and Canada)

Successful candidates will be awarded a scholarship worth HK$176,000, covering the basic tuition fee of HK$96,000 and a maintenance stipend of HK$80,000.

University of Nottingham Phd Scholarship in Law 2011in UK

The School of Law invites applications for the following postgraduate research scholarships available from October 2011. These scholarships are for the equivalent of full HEU fees and maintenance, providing a total of around £17,000* per annum (* estimate including Home/EU fees of £3,732). Each scholarship is available for a period of one year initially, with the expectation of renewal for a further two years, subject to satisfactory performance in degree studies.

The School of Law at the University of Nottingham is consistently ranked amongst the leading law schools in the UK and is a world-ranked centre for legal research and teaching. The School of Law has been rated as excellent in both teaching and research and has achieved an excellent outcome in the 2008 RAE, being ranked 4th equal among UK law schools. The School returned 100% of its lecturers, associate professors and professors in the RAE. They are internationally recognised in their fields and active scholars and teachers.

Applications are considered for all scholarships (you do not need to make separate ones) and are awarded, in addition to any other criteria listed, below, on the grounds of academic merit. These scholarships are available in most areas of law in which the School is able to offer supervision and also interdisciplinary projects that have a legal aspect.

These scholarships are open to all students.

Nottingham LLM graduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open only to graduates of the LLM programme at the University of Nottingham, or those who will graduate from the LLM programme at the University of Nottingham in December 2011.

AHRC BGP Doctoral Award
Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to UK and EU students who have resided in the UK for the past three years. Please check whether you are eligible to apply by reviewing the AHRC Eligibility Guidelines:
