Scholarship/Bursary Award for – 2011/2012 Academic Session

 

This is to notify indigenes of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas, in Tertiary Institutions that the Scholarship/ Bursary forms of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) will be available for collection free- of-charge as from Wednesday, July 31st 2013 to Wednesday August 21st 2013.

 

2.       Although Beneficiaries of the 2010/2011 OSOPADEC Scholarship/Bursary award already have their individual details in the commission’s database, they are required to complete the forms for the 2011/2012 academic session. This position supersedes the previous one which does not require beneficiaries in the last edition to apply.

 

3.       Eligibility

(i)      Applicants must be indigenes of the Oil Producing Areas of Ondo State

(ii)     He/She must be a bonafide student of a recognized Tertiary Institution within the country;

(iii)    He/She must come with the original copies of his/her current school Identity card, Admission letter, Local Government identification letter and 2011/2012 School Receipt at the point of collecting the form.

(iv)    Postgraduate students are also eligible for the scheme.

(v)     Part-time/Sandwich, Pre-degree, NTI, Certificate/Diploma students are not eligible for the Award.

(vi)    All applicants should note that completed application forms must compulsorily be accompanied with photocopies of all the following credentials i.e. School Identity card, JAMB Result Slip, Admission letter, Current School Receipt and Certificate of Local Government of Origin.

(vii)   Application forms not accompanied by copies of the Five documents enumerated above will not be processed by the Commission

(viii) Forms shall not be given by proxy.

 

4.       Date of Submission

 

All prospective applicants are to submit their Application Forms on or before Wednesday 21st August, 2013. Late Application Forms will not be accepted by the Commission.

Cattolica Africa Scholarships 2013/2014

 

Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (“Cattolica”) in Italy, as part of its mission to foster relationships with developing countries, has developed a special program for students from the African continent. This program will enable students to study on a partial scholarship for degree programs taught in English at Cattolica’s campuses in Milan, Piacenza and Cremona.

 

Students either citizens or residents from all African countries may apply for these scholarships that are applicable only for the following degree programs, all taught in English:

 

The Cattolica Africa Program consists of two programs:

 

Cattolica Africa Scholars Program

 

This program consists of five MSc programs (Laurea Magistrate), which all take 2 years to complete. These programs are preparing for an academic and/or professional career. Graduates of these MSc programs are also eligible to enter PhD programs at Italian universities.

These programs consist of one semester of coursework and one semester of internship and/or project activities. These programs are designed for students who seek to enhance their professional career through a specialized area of study, taught by top-academics and professional leaders from the field.

NDDC Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarship Scheme 2013

 

As part of our Human Resource Development initiatives, NDDC is embarking on Foreign Post­graduate Scholarship Scheme to equip Niger Delta with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the Local Content programme of the current Administration as well as compete globally in various professional fields. The Scheme is for suitably qualified applicants with relevant Bachelor’s Master’s Degree from recognized Universities in the following professional disciplines:

 

  1. Engineering Medicine
  2. Computer Science/Technology
  3. Geology
  4. Geosciences
  5. Environmental Sciences
  6. Agriculture

 

Applicants must have gained Post Graduate admission into a recognized University abroad.

 

Application Requirements

1.       First Degree with minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division for those wishing to undertake a Master’s Degree programme and a good Master’s Degree for PhD candidates from a recognized University,

2.       Gained Admission into a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines in a foreign University.

3.       Bond of good conduct from any of the following persons from the applicant’s community/clan.

a.       Member of National Assembly

b.       Chairman of the LGA.

c.      First class traditional ruler.

d.     High Court Judge

 

4.       Persons with evidence of cult membership or criminal record shall not be considered for the award.

  • Local Government identification letter.
  • Post Graduate (PG) admission letter from Overseas University,
  • Relevant Degrees from recognized University,
