Cattolica Africa Scholarships 2013/2014

 

Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (“Cattolica”) in Italy, as part of its mission to foster relationships with developing countries, has developed a special program for students from the African continent. This program will enable students to study on a partial scholarship for degree programs taught in English at Cattolica’s campuses in Milan, Piacenza and Cremona.

 

Students either citizens or residents from all African countries may apply for these scholarships that are applicable only for the following degree programs, all taught in English:

 

The Cattolica Africa Program consists of two programs:

 

Cattolica Africa Scholars Program

 

This program consists of five MSc programs (Laurea Magistrate), which all take 2 years to complete. These programs are preparing for an academic and/or professional career. Graduates of these MSc programs are also eligible to enter PhD programs at Italian universities.

 

  • MSc in Banking and Finance (Milan Campus)
  • MSc in Economics (Milan Campus)
  • MSc in Business Management (Milan Campus)
  • MSc in Business Management (Piacenza Campus)
  • MSc in Agriculture and Food Economics (Cremona Campus)

 

Cattolica Africa Leadership Program

This program consist of five specialized Master programs (Master Universitario), which all take 1 year to complete. These programs consist of one semester of coursework and one semester of internship and/or project activities. These programs are designed for students who seek to enhance their professional career through a specialized area of study, taught by top-academics and professional leaders from the field.

Routhe-Christiansen Undergraduate Scholarship 2011-2012, USA: Agricultural finance, Agricultural and Food Business Management,Applied Economics.

The Routhe-Christiansen Scholarship is annual scholarship, to support upper class undergraduate students with an interest in agricultural finance,majoring in either Agricultural and Food Business Management or Applied Economics and who also enrolled full time in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and studying in the Department of Applied Economics.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, motivation, and potential with less regard for a high GPA: average grades are acceptable. Preference will be given to a good student who may be struggling financially. Preference will also be given to someone studying agricultural financial management

All applicants must submit the following documents:
• A completed application form
(available at Library, Level 1 (APK) or download from the Research and Innovation Division section of www.uj.ac.za).
• Curriculum Vitae (clearly indicating your study field).
• ID document.
• Full official academic record including all levels of tertiary study prior to your current qualification.
Please note that academic records from student portals will NOT be accepted.
(Do not submit certificates. Academic records must include marks.)
• For Master’s and Doctoral students – A brief (max one page) outline of your project
(clearly indicating the research area).
• Letters of Reference (see table below for specific letters of reference required per level of study)

Level of study in 2011 Reference reports required
1st year Master’s Two references (at least one academic lecturer or HOD) and potential supervisor
(if already identified).
2nd year Master’s Supervisor of Master’s and two references (at least one academic lecturer or HOD).
Doctoral Supervisor of Master’s; HOD of Master’s and one other reference
(preferably an academic lecturer).
