2011-2012 Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme, Netherlands: Law,Science and Arts

Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University master’s degree programme starting September 2011 or February 2012 ( All MA, MSc and LL.M programmes as mentioned on the website Master’s programmes in Leiden).1.In his or her prior academic education abroad, the applicant must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the programme for which the student wishes to enroll. As an indication, the student will be among the top 10% for the relevant programme followed abroad

2.The applicant will hold a non-EU/EEA passport and will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.3.Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who have already obtained a Leiden University master’s degree.

It is possible to submit applications for more scholarship programmes simultaneously. However, it is not possible to obtain more than 1 scholarship from Leiden University for the same study programme. (terms and conditions (pdf))

2011-2012 Masters Scholarships, Swansea University, UK: Environmental Biology Conservation and Resource Management, Environmental Dynamics and Climatic Change

These scholarships are part of the Access to Masters (ATM) programme backed by the Convergence European Social Fund (ESF) through the Welsh Assembly Government.  Small and medium sized organisations located in the Convergence Area of Wales (Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea & Torfaen) are invited to participate in the muli-disciplinary initiative and benefit from a postgraduate research project tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation as each MSc student will undertake a project assigned to an organisation. The School has a large number of fully-funded scholarships available for the following programmes: MSc Global Migration, Politics and Societ. Internship at World Trade Organization for Postgraduate University Students, USA

Only a limited number of such internship posts is available. Interested candidates should follow the procedures and conform to the eligibility criteria set out below. Intake to the programme is on a continuing basis, with no specific recruitment period.
Duration: Up to 24 weeks.

Assignments given to interns are intended to enhance interns’ knowledge and understanding of the WTO and of trade policy more generally. However, the needs of the Division recruiting an intern will be paramount in determining the precise nature of assignments.

Eligibility:
-Interns are recruited from among nationals of WTO Members and countries and customs territories engaged in accession negotiations.
-Interns will have completed their undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline (e.g. economics, law, political science, international relations), and shall have completed at least one year of their postgraduate studies.
-The minimum age for an intern shall be 21 years and the maximum age 30 years.
-A roster of suitable candidates is maintained from which interns are selected. In addition to the regular internship programme, the need may also arise to recruit interns at short notice for particular tasks. These recruits will also be drawn from the roster. Names will not be maintained on the roster for longer than one year.
