Postdoctoral Positions in Breast and Ovarian Cancer, Philadelphia

Two Postdoctoral positions are available immediately. The projects are supported by NIH/NCI (R01CA142776, 2010-2015; and Ovarian Cancer SPORE program, 2009-2014) and US Department of Defense (Breast Cancer Program, 2010-2011). My laboratory has a major focus on the cancer genome (microRNA alterations, PNAS 2006, Cancer Research 2008 and PNAS 2008), host-tumor interaction (Nature Cell Biol. 2009 and Cancer Research 2010), cancer stem cells (JBC 2010) as well as cancer biological therapy (New Eng. J. Med. 2003 and Nature Med. 2004) of ovarian and breast cancers. The projects will focus on: 1) miRNA deregulation and function in ovarian and breast cancers; 2) somatic and cancer stem cells; and 3) development genetic model (transgenic and knock-out) for epithelial ovarian cancer. We are seeking candidates who are self motivated and career-oriented to join an exciting highly interactive research team.

Junior Research Fellowships Positions in Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India: Biochemistry, Microbiology Zoology/Botany

Fellowship: 12000/- pm. + HRA
M.Pharm/ M.Sc Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology Zoology/ Botany or an allied area with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Research experience in cell biology, Molecular biology, drug delivery / drug discovery. Plant breeding, plant pathology, genomics is desired. All the posts are purely temporary for five years to till the duration of the project whichever is earlier.

Clinician Educator Fellowships Positions in University of California, San Francesco 2011 – 2012

The UCSF Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) is pleased to offer clinician educator fellowship positions in general internal medicine for July. Fellowship positions may be structured as one or two year programs. These positions are designed to prepare fellows for faculty careers as clinician-educators in general internal medicine by expanding skills in clinical medicine, clinical teaching, clinical scholarship and medical education. Each fellow will spend approximately 40% time in direct clinical care at one of the DGIM ambulatory sites at UCSF/Mount Zion or UCSF/Parnassus. Mentoring of clinical work will be provided by the Program Director and other experienced DGIM faculty. An additional 10-20% time will be spent in teaching and supervising residents and students in ambulatory care at UCSF/Mount Zion and UCSF/Parnassus. Formal training, mentorship and feedback in ambulatory teaching will also be provided by DGIM faculty.
