TAN AH TAH –SAWL Scholarships for the Physically Disabled, Singapore

This Scholarship was founded in memory of The Honourable the late Mr Justice Tan Ah Tah and shall be called “TAN AH TAH – SAWL SCHOLARSHIP.”
1. The Scholarship shall be awarded by the Trustees under the Trust Deed dated the 2nd day of December 1987 and supplemented by the Supplemental Trust Deed dated 26 August 2008 (hereinafter called “the Trustees”) in accordance with the terms set out in the said Trust Deed/Supplemental Trust Deed.
2. The Trustees shall be the Trustees of the Scholarship and its funds.
3. The Scholarship may be granted to the following applicants requiring financial assistance:
a) any candidate offering any level of secondary education.
b) any candidate offering pre-university level education in any pre-university schools or junior colleges.
c) any candidate pursuing education or training in any polytechnics, vocational institutes or other educational or training establishments of a similar nature in Singapore as shall be approved by the Trustees.
d) any candidate pursuing tertiary education in local universities in Singapore that are approved by the Ministry of Education or any equivalent relevant authorities.

Minnesota River Board Undergraduate Scholarship 2011-2012, USA: Water Resources Management

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage enrollment in educational studies related to career fields in Water Resource Management.

1. he applicant should have declared a major such as Environmental Science, Biology, Agriculture, Engineering, Public Administration, or Political Science and have the intention of pursuing work in Water Resources.
2. The applicant must be enrolled in a two- or four- year accredited college or university located within the
Minnesota River Basin.
3. The applicant must be an undergraduate student with a current standing as Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
4. A GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

PhD Position in Practical Philosophy, Sweden

The PhD position is four years and is financed by education grant the first year, and by employment the following three years. The main task of the student is to focus on his/her doctoral studies. Some additional work at the institution, involving teaching etc., can be part of the position (max 20%).
Applications should include a brief description of research interest and past experience, a CV, copies of exams, degrees and grades, a copy of your Master thesis (or a draft thereof) and other relevant documents as well as a research plan (4-5 pages). The candidates are encouraged to provide letter(s) of recommendation and contact information to reference persons.
