2011Fulbright in Teaching/Research Scholarship Program, Côte d’Ivoire: American Literature, American Studies

Teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in American literature and civilization at the University of Cocody-Abidjan and the University of Bouake; the two schools currently share the same campus in Abidjan. Assist with student advising, provide tutorials and supervise master’s and doctoral-level theses. Participate in seminars related to American literature and civilization. Conduct research in area of specialization.

Scholars with a Ph.D. and three or more years of postdoctoral university or college teaching experience are preferred. Correspond with the host institution to determine whether specializations are of interest. Submitting a letter of invitation from the host institution with the application is recommended, but not required. The academic year is generally October to July. An English language school, the International Community School of Abidjan, is available for children in grades K-12 who accompany the scholar.

2011 American Art Therapy Association Scholarship, USA

American Art Therapy Association Scholarship Must is a minority student enrolled in an approved AATA program     In order to apply for scholarship awards, applicants must be a member of the American Art Therapy Association. Awards are granted only to active *student members of the Association and those who have been accepted or are attending an American Art Therapy Association approved Graduate Art Therapy Program. Scholarships are announced each year at the American Art Therapy Association Annual Conference. Recipients will be notified in June about the decision on their application. One award (Pearlie Roberson Award) is open to both Student and Professional Member Applicants. The applicant is responsible for sending the student financial information form (PDF 32KB) to the appropriate institutions. The applicant is responsible for ensuring all documents (application, *transcripts, *letters of recommendation, *financial aid form, essay, and school acceptance/attendance documentation) are received by the Association by the deadline.

University Of Pavia offering Scholarships to Students coming from Developing Countries, Italy

The University of Pavia (UNIPV), in order to promote international cooperation with theDeveloping Countries, offers 51 monthly instalments of 1.000 Euros each as scholarships to study at the University of Pavia or at the Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia (IUSS) during the academic year 2011-2012. Each scholarship will cover also the expenses for the Visa and for the travel to Italy and back (economy class).
The scholarships are designed for students coming from a Developing Country (preferably fromCountries classified as Low-income economies and Lower-middle-income economies by the WorldBank; see http://data.worldbank.org/about/country-classifications/country-and-lending-groups#Low_income) and for Developing Countries students who received a scholarship financed through the FC&K for the academic year 2010-2011 (in this case, expenses for VISA and for travel will not be covered). Only students born on/after the 1st January 1976 can participate. At the end of the academic year, the University of Pavia will issue an academic transcript of records certificating the kind and the period of study.
