Postdoctoral Research in Organic Chemistry at University of Oxford, UK

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research assistant to work under the supervision of Professor Dermot O’Hare on a research project funded by SCG Chemicals, for a period of one year in the first instance. The project is aimed at the development of new olefin polymerization catalysts. Applicants should be available to start as soon as possible after April 2011.Applicants should either already have a PhD in a relevant subject area, or have submitted their thesis prior to taking up the post. The applicant should have experience in organometallic synthesis and ideally in olefin polymerization catalysis.

Junior Research Fellowship 2011, Physical Research Laboratory, India: Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Planetary Sciences, Geosciences, Space and Atmospheric Sciences

Applications are invited from highly motivated students to pursue doctoral research .
Eligibility:
M.Sc. in one of the following subjects:
Physics, Space Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry (Physical, Nuclear / Analytical), Geology, Geophysics and Ocean Sciences.
A minimum of 60% marks at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels are required for all candidates. Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics as the subjects at the Under Graduate level.
Age Limit: Not more than 25 years as on 31st December 2010 (born on or after 31.12.1985

PhD Studentships Positions in Remote Sensing at University of Worcester, UK

The University of Worcester offers a number of three-year, full-time doctoral research studentships each year. All studentships are advertised in the national press and are available on a competitive basis. Each studentship attracts a bursary of £12,300 per Annam in addition to a full tuition fee waiver for UK/EU students. Overseas students are welcome to apply but will need to fund the balance of fees for Overseas Research Students.
