10 Undergraduate Research Fellowships by Penn Program, USA: Democracy, Citizenship, Constitutionalism

The Penn Program on Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism will award up to 10 undergraduate research fellowships for projects to be begun in the summer of 2011 and completed during the 2011-2012 academic year.
Students may receive grants of up to $2500 for research-related expenses. Each student application must be endorsed by a Faculty Research Advisor who will supervise the project throughout the 2010-2011 academic year. Funds have been provided through the generous support of the Mellon Foundation.

National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) Graduate Research Fellowships, USA

The NERRS Graduate Research Fellowship Program is one of the largest graduate programs supported by NOAA. Fellows conduct their research within a National Estuarine Research Reserve and gain hands-on experience by engaging with reserve staff and participating in their host reserve’s research, education, stewardship and training programs.
Fellows use reserves as living laboratories to address NERRS natural and social science priority issues based on the reserves’ local coastal management needs.

  • Fellows receive a stipend of $20,000 per year.
  • Funds are available on a competitive basis.
  • Fellowships may be funded for up to three years.
  • The application deadline is November 1st each year.
  • Fellows have the opportunity to network with and learn from local and visiting investigators.
