Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates, India

Under this scheme, Engineering Graduates  who are selected for the Training School programme and who also have secured admission for MTech/ MChemEngg in select institutes and specializationsare paid stipend and tuition fee to pursue a MTech/ MChemEngg degree while retaining their employment in DAE. After successful completion of one-year course work at the institute, fellows undertake project work, which is assigned and supervised jointly by a DAE and an institute guide. On successful completion of MTech/ MChemEngg, they are posted as Scientific Officers in DAE. On joining, they are required to first undertake a four-month Orientation Course (OCDF) at the BARC Training School. The DGFS fellows
are enrolled and posted in one of the following units of DAE:
a) BARC, Mumbai b) RRCAT, Indore c) IGCAR, Kalpakkam.
Allocation of a DGFS fellow to a DAE unit is done at the beginning of the MTech/ MChemEngg programme.
Selected candidates are required to execute an agreement and a personal Indemnity Bond to serve
DAE for at least three years after completion of training. Indemnity Bond is for Rs 2,45,000 for OCES trainees and Rs 5,05,000 for DGFS fellows. No third party surety is required.

During Training: (i) Stipend and Allowances: OCES trainees as well as DGFS fellows are paid stipend of Rs 20,000 per month during the period of their training and a one-time book allowance of Rs 5,000, (ii) Boarding and Lodging in DAE/Institute Hostel/Guest House is mandatory.

On Appointment: Appointment in DAE units shall be as a Group A Gazetted Officer of the Government of India except in BHAVINI, NPCIL and UCIL which are governed by the service rules of Corporations.

The Kofi Annan Fellowship for Outstanding Leadership Potentials from Developing Countries

The Kofi Annan Fellowship provides the opportunity for talented and motivated students from developing countries who do not belong to a privileged class and lack sufficient financial means to study management at ESMT in Berlin and graduate with a prestigious MBA from the most international business school in Germany.

Upon return to their home countries, the fellows are expected to contribute to the strengthening of entrepreneurial capacity and the fostering of a stable market economy as an effective catalyst for their country’s development, job creation, and poverty alleviation.

What is the Kofi Annan Fellowship?

A fellowship grant for an emerging leader from a developing country for a one-year full-time MBA education in Berlin, Germany.

Purpose

To make significant contributions to least developed countries (LDCs) and landlocked developing countries (LLDCs); to strengthen the awareness for responsibility in leadership in developed countries.

Partner

ESMT in cooperation with the Kofi Annan Business School Foundation in The Hague, Netherlands.

Financials

Value of the fellowship is € 58,000. Fellows will have a full scholarship from ESMT plus fair compensation for costs like travel, accommodation, and program-related fees.

Requirements

Bachelor degree of any kind, a minimum of three years’ professional experience, GMAT, fluency in written and spoken English, willingness to contribute to building the economy and society of the home country with entrepreneurial impetus.

Indonesian Government Scholarships for Masters Degree Program 2011: Humanties, Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture Sciences, Education, Multi-disclipinary Studies

Indonesian Government has offered scholarships, under its scheme Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) or Developing Countries Partnership (DCP), for pursuing Master studies in various universities of Indonesia for the Academic Session 2011-12. The details are as under:

Goal:
The scholarship aims:
1. To promote deeper cultural understanding among developing countries.
2. To strengthen the relationship and mutual cooperation among developing countries
3. To contribute to the development of human resource quality

Eligibility Criteria:
The maximum of age is 35 years.
Has a completed four (4) years Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Has a TOEFL score of 450 or equivalent
Completes and submits the application form and must be nominated by the respective government.
If successful, while studying in Indonesia:
-Will comply with the Indonesian Government and host university regulations
– Will not work or join any political activity
-Agrees not to change the place of study and study program selected
-Sign the statement letter prior to departure
