2011 Helmut Claas-Scholarship in Engineering, Agricultural and Economics in Germany

The main item of your application is your written project.Your project should be linked to agricultural engineering or have any other connection with agriculture and its related industries.Possible topics: Agricultural Engineering, Bio- systems technology, green biotechnology, machinery management or other interesting agriculture related technical projects.
Projects from students just starting their university degree course are most welcome. You may write a report (e.g. seminar essay, progress report) on your future vision of agriculture or the agricultural industry, e.g. new ideas for farming practices or solutions to current problems in the field of agricultural engineering.

You may also apply with your bachelor project report or thesis. If you are currently registered on an appropriate higher degree programme (taught MSc, MSc by Research, MPhil or PhD) you may submit a piece of work such as a project report, taught MSc thesis or synopsis of your research project.

2011-2012 Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme, Netherlands: Law,Science and Arts

Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University master’s degree programme starting September 2011 or February 2012 ( All MA, MSc and LL.M programmes as mentioned on the website Master’s programmes in Leiden).1.In his or her prior academic education abroad, the applicant must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the programme for which the student wishes to enroll. As an indication, the student will be among the top 10% for the relevant programme followed abroad

2.The applicant will hold a non-EU/EEA passport and will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.3.Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who have already obtained a Leiden University master’s degree.

It is possible to submit applications for more scholarship programmes simultaneously. However, it is not possible to obtain more than 1 scholarship from Leiden University for the same study programme. (terms and conditions (pdf))

10 Fully-Funded Distance Learning Scholarship in MSc Forestry , Bangor University, UK

We are pleased to announce that up to 10 fully-funded scholarships (each worth over £12,000 to cover tuition fees) are available for applicants from the following developing commonwealth countries to study for our MSc Forestry by distance learning:

Bangladesh, Botswana, Cameroon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

The scholarship also includes a £2,000 bursary to enable scholars to attend a study tour which will be held overseas in July/August.

This postgraduate course is primarily intended for students who already have an interest in forestry and who wish to learn more about the environmental and societal benefits that forests can provide. Suitable applicants include individuals working in forestry/forest-related industries/ natural resource management, particularly in the fields of planning, regulation, policy, monitoring and environmental protection. The course is also suited to individuals working in forestry education who wish to further their knowledge and expertise in order to improve their teaching.
