International Postgraduate Tuition Fee Scholarships, Griffith University, Australia: Innovation, Industry, Science and Research

The GUIPRS is designed to attract and support highly ranked international applicants during the University’s two annual postgraduate research scholarship rounds. This scheme extends the provision of tuition fee scholarships beyond the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research allocated International Postgraduate Research Scholarships1 (IPRS).

The GUIPRS covers tuition fees for the student and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the student and their dependant/s. No other expenses are paid by this scheme, however award recipients may seek additional funding from alternative sources. In addition, the scheme also supports international applicants successful in gaining stipend scholarships.The GUIPRS is available to international students only. Applicants must have completed, or expect to complete, four years of higher education studies at a very high level and be intending to enrol full-time in an approved doctoral or research masters program. Part-time awards may be offered to students who, for social or medical reasons, are unable to study full-time.

2011-2012 Scholarships in Art and Social Science College at University of Hull, UK

The Scheme applies to international (non-UK and non-EU) students making applications for a full-time postgraduate taught course of study only. It does not apply to research degrees such as MPhil or PhD.
Applications should bemade direct to the department responsible for administering your chosen programme. No application for a Scholarship shall be considered without the Department having first received an application formfor a postgraduate programme of study. Award of scholarships is up to amaximumof £1,000 and is at the discretion of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Facultymay award a Scholarship subject to satisfaction of any conditions, which it determines appropriate to entry to the programme of study. Scholarshipsmay only be awarded to applicants satisfying general University, Departmental and Programme of Study regulations. The Scholarship is payable as a credit against tuition fees only. No guarantee of a Scholarship can bemade where an applicant indicates that he/she wishes to defer entry.

2011-2012 Full-time Postgraduate Masters Scholarships at University of Glamorgan, UK: Disaster Healthcare / Disaster Management

scholarships are offered on the basis that they are potentially subject to change in the event of changes to the fee and student support regime applicable in Wales. UK and European Union graduates with a first or upper second class honours degree (or equivalent qualification) can apply for a non-means tested scholarship worth £1,500 or £2,000. The scholarship applies to most of our full-time, taught Masters courses at the University of Glamorgan starting in the autumn of 2011 plus a number of courses that are offered in the February 2012 intake. The deadline for students wishing to study MSc Disaster Healthcare / MSc Disaster Management for Environmental Hazards is Friday 12th August 2011. The deadline for all other applications for courses starting in autumn 2011 is Friday 16th September 2011. The deadline for applications for courses starting in February 2012 is Friday 27th January 2012. Please note that scholarships are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. To qualify for a scholarship an applicant (Home or EU) will need to fulfil all of the following criteria.
Successful applicants must:

  • Ensure that their application reaches the Student Money Service by the advertised deadline. Applicants and not the University (or its staff) are entirely responsible for meeting this element of the criteria.
  • Gain a first class honours degree or an upper second class honours degree or equivalent qualification (students with qualifications gained from outside the UK will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis)
  • Be offered a place on an eligible, taught Masters course, accept this offer and enrol on the course within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Scholarship Application Deadline: 12th August 2011.
