Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students at Kingston University, UK

We offer awards totalling £250,000 every year, with each international scholarship worth £3,300. These are open to prospective full-time postgraduates in any subject area on a one-year taught masters degree. Scholarships are available for both September entry and January entry (for courses with a relevant start date).
You can apply online for scholarships for September 2011 entry. Please note that we cannot consider applications received after the deadline. Remember that the scholarships application procedure is separate from the admissions application procedure.  Before you begin your application, please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. You must:

  • be an international student (classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes);
  • have an offer of a place on a course at Kingston for 2011 entry; and
  • not currently be registered on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at Kingston University. Please also note that you will need electronic copies of the following documents to make your application online:, a copy of your Kingston University offer letter;  an academic reference letter;  a copy of your academic transcript/worksheet; and  a copy of your IELTS/TOEFL result (where applicable).

    Rubicon Grants for Research Programme at Dutch Universities and Research Institutes

    The aim of the Rubicon programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years). Postgraduates who are currently engaged in doctoral research or who have been awarded a doctorate in the twelve months preceding the relevant deadline. Applicants who are still engaged in doctoral research may only apply if their supervisor provides a written declaration approving their thesis.

    Proposals will be assessed on the basis of quality criteria (as listed in the brochure which can be downloaded from this website) and certain policy criteria.Multidisciplinary advisory committees will assess the applications.
    The views of external referees will not be sought.
    The final award decisions will be made by the boards of the relevant divisions/foundation.
    The entire assessment procedure will take approximately 4 months.

    DoM Visionary Scholarship(MBM Full-Time) at University of Strathclyde, UK

    This award is intended for candidates who are prepared to test new ideas; to go beyond the status quo and make a difference to industry and society. Candidates must demonstrate through their ideas, experience and achievements that they are an excellent team player, with a strong vision for the future. Leadership/management skills or potential, overall quality of the application and financial need will also be considered. The award will be judged on a 1000 word statement supplied by each candidate that should state which scholarship you wish to be considered for and should clearly articulate how you meet the scholarship criteria. Please also submit a maximum of 300 words outlining your reason for applying for the scholarship. Before applications for this studentship may be considered, candidates must have applied for admission to, and received either an unconditional or conditional place, on the Law School’s postgraduate research programme.
