Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Change, USA: Earth and Planetary Sciences

The Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the Glenadore and Howard L. Pim Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Change. This fellowship is part of a Global Change Science initiative within the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.
We seek an outstanding individual with a recent Ph.D. who is pursuing interdisciplinary research in Global Change. Candidates whose research spans the physical sciences, social sciences, health sciences and/or public policy aspects of global change are preferred. Areas of interest include but are not limited to (1) fundamental processes driving global change; (2) the impact of global change on air quality, water resources, ecosystems, and/or human health; (3) remediation of the effects of global change; (4) energy resources; and (5) analysis of economic, sociological, public health, and policy implications of global change. Special consideration will be given to candidates who will collaborate with faculty from other Hopkins departments. Information on our department can be found at http://www.eps.jhu.edu. Two Postdoctoral Positions, Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, Republic of Korea: Simulation Studies for green Technologies

An immediate opening for Two Postdoctoral Positions to perform simulation studies for green technologies at Dr. Sang Soo Han’s lab (please see Chem. Soc. Rev. 2009, 38, 1460-1476; J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2008, 130, 11580-11581; J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2007, 129, 8422-8423; Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2007, 46, 6289-6292) in Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS)
The detail topics are gas adsorption (H2 storage and CO2 capture) in metal-organic frameworks, batteries, or metal nanoparticles.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Material Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline, and demonstrate a record of prior research accomplishments. Also, the candidates must expertise in the development and application of quantum or atomistic simulation methods (DFT, MD, or MC) for the materials and molecular modeling. Experience with a multi-scale simulation method would be a plus.
