We are very pleased to announce that the EADS Technology Masters’ Awards will be administered again through the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Centennial Scholarship scheme in 2011.This is an exciting opportunity to gain support for your postgraduate studies and valuable work experience from one of the world’s leading aerospace companies and will provide a valuable foundation for your career in aerospace engineering. EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services. In 2009, the Group – comprising Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – generated revenues of EUR 42.8 billion and employed a workforce of more than 119,000.

EADS Technology Masters applications will be considered by the Centennial Scholarship Panel at the same time as other Centennial Scholarship applications. In addition, a representative from EADS will also consider the application and make recommendations to the Panel.The decision of the Panel and EADS nominated representative is final and the other guidelines and award conditions that accompany the Centennial Scholarship scheme.

Junior Research Fellowship:RF in H2 Storage and Fuel Cell Materials for Renewable Energy at IIT-Ropar, India

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DSTSERC  FAST Track project entitled “H2 storage and fuel cell materials for renewable energy: Fundamental study on metal hybrid nanostructures” under the supervision of undersigned. The selected candidate is possible to register for Ph.D. program as per existing institute rules. The aim of the project is to explore and manipulate the size, morphology and chemical environment of hybrid nanostructures with the goal of optimizing their H2 storage and O2 reactivity for mobile technology.
Eligibility: M.Sc. in Chemistry with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) with valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC NET qualified candidates are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification: Programming skills, knowledge of unix-based environment, familiarity with computational packages like G09, CFOUR, VASP etc.
