Scholarships for International LLB Students at Cardiff University, UK

There are currently around 400 international students enrolled on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the Bar Vocational Course and Legal Practice Course, within the School. Cardiff Law School offers two types of scholarship to international students (excluding students from the European Union): first, a £1,000 Entrance Bursary to those who achieve excellence at A-level or the equivalent; and second, Merit Scholarships to those who achieve outstanding academic performance whilst studying on the LLB programme at Cardiff. Terms and conditions for the awards are detailed below.
Eligibility: A £1,000 Entrance Bursary will be awarded to all students (EU not included) who enrol in the first year of the M100 LLB programme as full fee-paying students of international fee status, having achieved AAA at A-level or the local equivalent. Students whose fees are paid by a sponsor are not eligible for this bursary. The Merit Scholarships are available to first and second year undergraduate students who are enrolled on the M100 LLB programme as full fee-paying students of international fee status. Students whose fees are paid by a sponsor are not eligible for a scholarship.

FE Transition Bursary in University of Edinburgh for Undergraduate Students 2011 in UK

These bursaries offer financial assistance to undergraduate students who enter university with HNC/HND.Further Education (FE) Transition Bursaries assist undergraduate students whose entry qualification may be a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Higher National Certificate (HNC) instead of Highers or A-levels.Students must be admitted to the first year of a full-time programme of study rather than entering second year directly.

In general, SAAS will not assist students with payment of university tuition fees in year 1, if the student has already received such assistance during studies.HNC/HNDFE Transition Bursaries are awarded to students with home fees status for payment of tuition fees only.Normally, students require an FE Transition Bursary for one year only as they are eligible for assistance with their tuition fees for their subsequent years of study.Students can still apply for a student loan through the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).Students can seek advice on eligibility for a FE Transition Bursary from any of the EUSA Advice Place Offices.
