Scholarship for students having interest in the field of Mass Communication and Journalism
Job Description: The School of Journalism and Mass Communication will awardmore than $17,000 in scholarships for the coming school year. It is easy to apply.
Some scholarships are based on financial need. Others are strictly merit-based and reward academic performance and
participation in student media and extracurricular activities.

Decisions will be announced toward the end of March. Funds are provided for the 2010-11 academic year.
Requirements include:
• Application form
• Full-time student status
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Evidence of financial need
• Unofficial transcripts (See CatsWeb)
• Letters of reference
• Letter stating goals, experience in internships, student or
professional media and other extracurricular activities
